first of all, i would like to thank to the rytecxml team for providing us very good epg service.

I found EPG information is wrong with sky showcase HD (1:0:1:D020:909:2:11A0000:0:0:0).

The corresponding item in rytecxmltvUKplus is showcase.uk . the epg looks same as IrishTV.uk. could you check?

Indeed.

In the grab definition a wrong channel (IrishTV) was assigned to Showcase.

 

Corrected this.

but the epg of showcase.uk is still wrong.

i mean how often rytec update epg

In this case I have to update the grab.  So I have to grab the channel again.  This will take some time. Also I cannot do it sometimes immediately.

 

At the moment the grab is running.  And I will put it on-line as soon as it done.

 

The normal updates are 05h05, 06h06, 07h05, 11h05, 17h05

The first is the main upload, the next two are to assure that the corrupted files are detected and replaced (I have regularly problems with corrupted files)

This seems to work this way.

 

The 11h05 and 17h05 uploads are for uploading changed corrected files.

 

While I was typing this, the grab finished.  So I have started the upload script manually.  The new file should be on-line.

Remember there is also one website which updates itself, and this site could be updated up to one hour later.  (It checks once every hour)

i have installed telnet on my pc can u tell me what i need to type in for me to replace the satellite file pls?

this is what i have done i typed in init 4 then copy and pasted the satellite file into my box then typed in init 3 on my box and the same old satellite file is being used as old satellite positions r showing and not the one u have given me.

What box do you have? What image are you using?

Where exactly did you paste the new satellites.xml file to?

Why do you ask this question here if you don't use an OpenPLi image? Chances are a VTI works differently, so you'd have to ask them...

I'm very grateful to Rytec community,for the support I have been given. And helping me with my EPG issues. Without the rytec community I wouldn't be able solve the issues that i have had in the past.

Apparently, you have not replaced it correctly or you have put it in the incorrect place.

By the way, did you mean /etc/ or /etc/enigma2/? Or perhaps /etc/tuxbox/?

Should be OK if 28.2E is the only satellite you are interested in.

OK.

 

Confusion on my side here.  There is the channel Showcase and the channel Sky Showcase.

And since the channel ref you gave me had the wrong grab attached to it, I changed the grab.  But to the Showcase channel.

 

Hopefully this time correct.  I had only to change the channels file.  Grab should be OK for Sky Showcase.

 

The file will be uploaded within 30 minutes.
