doglover.

1:0:1

wat is this ?

I have seen around the interwebs

syntax:of:NID:TID:SID:

kinda wat I was looking for..the full specifics format of this line:

1:0:1:80ED:21:3E8:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

not an exact copy from the file

had it the other day, but just driving myself nuts searching all over google

another problem I'm driving myself nuts trying to figure out is why the REFERENCES do not work with just the NAMESPACE ID (xmltvimport)

I know that the naming convention natively is not great in enigma2 being that it names the TID AND SID in most circumstances as 0001 and 0001.

so that leaves you with most CHANNELS 0001:0001:0001. Even on Lyngsat most ONID AND TID have some sort of unique number !

WHY would the EPG importer ! look at 0001:0001:0001 BEFORE THE NAMESPACE ID

HERE:-

1:0:1:0002:0001:0001:067d8f28:0:0:0:

1:0:1:0002:0001:0001:03ee9034:0:0:0:

1:0:1:0002:0001:0001:05658f6c:0:0:0:

typical format of me refs HOWEVER it chooses to look at the 0002:0001:0001 BEFORE the namespace ID and stuffs up
all my channels is this normal behaviour ? why not just look at the :067d8f28: then match the EPG data to that !?

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

1:0: I have not seen anything else

1/16/19/25 : is the type of service MPEG2/MPEG4/HD/radio (does not really matter)

Then you have TID:NID:SID (or a different other - I have to look this up) These really identifies the channel

067d8f28: is the namespace or really the identifier for the satellite - or cable

The end: 0:0:0: is always the same - but needs to there. I have not seen anything else.

Willy do you think maybe because I am using the satellites.xml from satellites-xml.org

not satellites-xml.eu ... this is my problems ?

it calls the satellite names different .. adds a .1 to the degrees

ie, asiasat 5 satellites.xml from .org would be 100.6 E degrees satellites.xml from .eu is just 100.5 E

also I have KU and C band seperated not on same sat

shrug

. yeah TID:SID:NID ... wat the fa ?

ok so xmltvimport is just reading 0001:0001:0001 and then adding the EPG data to th@ ?????

WTF

Could very well be the problem.

A similar situation exist on Thor (1W) where both sources have a different service ref.

Look at http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-13E.php

where you will find the TID.NID and SID

TID: is the transponder ID

NID: is the Network ID

SID: is the stations ID

ALso seems like there are custom bouquet lists around the net made that people use so what do they do when they need to edit either

A) TID - ID of the transponder (seems like its always 1 or 0001) WHY ?? why not 43 or 10, 11 , 12, 13

B) SID - service ID is really not changeable considering it identifies the channel on the TP (multiple channels on TP) although I notice you can change as long as it doesn't already exist (ie. second channel on transponder, 0002 etc)

C) NID - network ID (always 1 or 0001 WHY?) seems changeable but I've tried this and can't seem to get it to point to the EPG data after I edit the channel correctly pointing to it in own.channels.xml

D) is there anything else that gets recognised by xmltvimport apart from just 0001:0001:0001:namespace: (namespace being what it seems NOT to recognise half the time and goes for the first existing EPG data on first TID SID)

what typically is xmltv importer looking for ??? a complete list or package channels on ONE SINGLE TRANSPONDER? 0001 0002 0003 0004 perfect order ?

bahhhh nope just looked at the NID TID's on most of these satellites in the EAST here AHHH HAHAHAHA?

doglover/Willy. can you take a second check for me . is there no real NID or TID on most of these TP's. check this sat

http://www.lyngsat.com/Palapa-D.html

I checked the link you posted above Hotbird ... every TP has a clearly marked TID/NID

is this trouble trying to put EPG on these ? say for Indo ppl who want several if not all these channels.

how could xmltvimport recognise if most TIDSID NID the same .. still possible ??

They all have a SID which is different.

Can not directly identify the NID and TID. But I sure there is one.

We are talking here beyond my knowledge. I am not an expert in sat transmission.

I just know a bit about enigma2 receivers and EPG.

As I told you in the beginning, This is a very strange service ref.

This cannot be correct.

Scan the sat on your box again pls. And see if there is another ref.

BTW: what for box do you have, and which image do you use?

yeah mate. Actually just deleted both the old channels and rescanned - same thing. 0001:0001:0001

next I could look at starting from scratch again. use the .eu satellites.xml and just see if it comes up different.

the PROB would be though (?) the actual satscan not finding the extra TID/NID info off the sat I would guess ?

something to do with the image yeah. It's HDMU latest nightly build atm. I will swap back to OPENATV nightly and use the .eu satellites.xml

and post back my results. but yeah.. same stuff with the openatv build too I think !

look at a few other East satellites and you will notice not a lot have TID NID's most are just blank which doesn't offer much

lol I'll even switch to the spark firmware (other side amiko alien 2) and see if its got that TID NID post back results
