Hello,

 

Everything worked like a charm on a Vu+ Uno since a few weeks, and this morning, I made a software update. After the reboot, I see the OpenPLi logo for about 30 seconds then it goes to deep standby. If I press the Standby button (front panel or remote control), I got the same behaviour.

 

The STB is useless in that state

I tried a RS232 cable in order to get more information at boot, but unfortunately I think it is broken as I don't see any output.

 

After a few hours of test, it seems that enigma2-plugin-extensions-boblight-enigma2 plugin is the main problem. With a fresh OpenPLi 4.0 image (20140209 and 20140130), an opkg update followed by an installation of this SPECIFIC plugin causes the problem.

 

Is there anyone here using Boblight plugin ?

 

Here are the results from some tests :

 

- opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-boblight-enigma2 (depends on libusb-1.0-0, kernel-module-cdc-acm, kernel-module-ftdi-sio and kernel-module-usbserial) : Not working

Login with telnet or putty... En monitor what happens with

init 4
enigma2

Easier than the rs232 cable to monitor what might happen...

Type these comments just before the logo is gone.

It might ale be you need a reflash... February and januari are old images....

Did you create a conf. file for your specific configuration for the LEDs and interface ?

Sorry littlesat, I made a mistake on dates. It was 20140902 and 20140831, so the most recent ones.

ou're right, I thought that I won't be able to telnet my box (not enough time to connect).. I'll try tomorrow your test.

 

@nietgiftig It was present yes on the first time I upgraded my image. Next, I flashed directly the latest OpenPLi image. I'm not sure that it is related.

A clean install wipes everything from your box, unless you did a (auto) backup

I didn't use autobackup, I'm sure this is easily reproductible on an another box.

 

littlesat, I tried what you did and I got this message  :

 

enigma2: /usr/lib/libgomp.so.1: version `GOMP_4.0' not found (required by enigma2)

 

In /usr/lib I have these 2 files, no symlink :

 

ls -l /usr/lib/libgomp*

 

-r-xr--r--    1 root     root        268949 Jan  3  2014 libgomp.so.1

-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root         87508 Sep  1 23:06 libgomp.so.1.0.0

 

I am reinstalling the image, and see if there are any differences that might explain why enigma2 can't start.

OK I confirm : the boblight package breaks a library (look at /usr/lib/libgomp* files).

I remember that I installed this plugin a few weeks ago, and I didn't rebooted enigma since then... I don't think it is related to a recent modification in firmware though...

I tried this morning OpenPli and Boblight latest versions on my xtrend et10k and notice the same prob.

Anyway in a few weeks or days? there comes a totally rewritten Boblight - Enigmalight plugin by Speedy.

I guess that's will fix the problem.

I can say that the new Enigmalight will come verry soon but i need to do some little fixes before it will be released. The new code is much faster and cleaner.
I need to know some details from members with Gigablue EU and some members who want to translate the language files to different languages.

I you want to help me with translate, send me a pm.

For the members who want to help me to support other stbs like GigaBlue EU
Open your terminal like putty to connect to your box.
and type cat /proc/stb/info/chipset and cat /proc/stb/info/model
and send me that details. Then i can maybe support more stbs !

For everyone who want to know the changelog from Boblight to Enigmalight see here:

- Enigmalight can be used as grabber or moodlamp or server for boblight clients
- Its only onefile, so now it use 8-9% cpu @ 1920x1080 with interval @ 0.10 (10fps) and can run on a dualcore with interval 0.01 @ 90fps with 40% cpu, but 90fps is overkill
- Grabber again optimized
- Added status window (RUNNING or NOT,CPU,FPS,MODE) in GUI and it will be refreshed every sec.
- New effects (rainbow, rgb test, later more...)

Hi all,

 

I ran into the same problem as you guys. The console cable help me find out the issue with libgomp.

 

I've modded the IPK to fix that problem. I've even cleaned it a bit more as it comes with some useless files.

I just don't know where to post it? 

 

Edit: Btw, I sent an email to the enigmalight guy but he didn't bother answer me. Now I'm trying reaching him with twitter....
