Hello there!

I have some problems to make a backup of this img... I have tried some plugin (nfi tools, dflash, backupsuite, etc.) but I receive initial error or small files .nfi (like 184Kb). Is there a reason for this? Thanks

p.s. sorry for my english...

Actually the problem is that backup is not working because is using timebombed gutemine's utilities ;)

I've seen people taking backups from those boxes by removing cable and rebooting, so the date is 1970 and there lots of ticks until bomb explode....

Have a read of this thread

opps

best not post that

instead try backup by telnet as follows

To telnet, click START > RUN and type Telnet ip.address.of.dreambox
A command window will appear, enter username root and password dreambox.

To backup an image using Telnet

  • Telnet to the box and paste the following command:
Code:
cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img
  • FTP to the box and navigate to the /tmp
  • Here you will find the backup.img file.
