Hi friends,

From time to time - I am asked for help by the user of (or those wishing to use) the enigma2 images for dm600pvr and dm7020. I therefore start this thread where I will be available for advice.

 

The pcd.v10.0 images can be downloaded from the direct links below ( no need to log in).

Here are some details of the images :

Flash Install : Please note :-

The image can be installed in flash with Dreamup - or on multiboot with Barry Allen.

If installed in flash it will have a free memory of 3.8mb. If Memory Expander (Extra Setup -> Increase memory) is used the free memory increases to 10.0mb.

This image can be used without any additional storage - for example  pc, hdd, usb, cf. Of course, for Timeshift and Recording - additional storage is necessary !

Quick-buttons :-

Blue (short press) - Extra setup
Blue (long press) - Extensions
Power (short press) - Standby
Power (long press) - Shutdown menu
INFO (short press) - event info
INFO (long press) - Graphical multi epg
VIDEO - Recoeded videos

Led :-

Standby - red led
Recording - blinking red led

Extra Setup includes :-

Memory expander using hdd, usb etc.

Daemon-manager : To run any daemon - put a start-stop script in a script folder. Insert the script folder path in the Daemon Manager config screen. Default path - /user/script/dman.

Addon-manager : Download and install addons

Software : Additinal software items necessary for some plugins

EPG : configure EPGImport

Subtitles : Change ttx subtitles size and colour

Media/MountManager : Cifs and Nfs mount configure,
MountManager,

User-Script manager

Inadyn, Pmt.tmp, Crond configure

Tips :-

Teletext (tuxtxt):

Enable/disable via Extra Setup. When teletext is enabled - long press and some other buttons do not work. Also numbers input do not work properly.

Video playback - fast forward/backward (seek action) :

Number buttons work with tv channel recordings. Seek action does not work with vlcplayer downloads.
However, button 0 will put position marker in vlcplayer downloads for restarting.

Plugin Enhancedmoviecenter :

Requires teletext to be enabled. Otherwise it will crash.

Plugin Enigma1 :

Attached below.

Starts enigma1 features. Uses enigma2 installed daemons. No need to install again.

Some special use of enigma1 -
Plays mp3
Fast forward/backward of vlc recorded videos.

Languages(po) :

Locale de and en installed. Some others are available from image server. Any
other languages - please ask

Available from image download (Menu->Extra Setup->Addon Manager->Download)

Any other items - search google with "powerpc enigma2".

Hi, can i flash also a clone? I have an old inetbox 400 (dm600pvr clone) and I'd like to install an oe2 image.

Thanks for the Great E2 Image for the old PPC Dreamboxes !
Is it possible to convert the Plugin "Remote Channel Stream Converter" ?  To use remote Channels on the PPC Box.
You could use the PPC box as a streaming client without use Partnerbox Plugin.

Is there also a version 10.0 for a DM500S+?

Thanks for the Enigma2 Image for the DM7020S!!!

I have a question about RGB output.

Fault - after a reboot, the RGB signal is replaced by the CVBS signal, although the menu is saved RGB mode.

What can I do in this situation?

Hi Thank you for the Image for DM600

I cant seem to get EPGimport ?   

 

EPGimport,selected Rytec UK and Manual run but returns 0, Nothing happens.  Is this rytec update needed, but not sure how to do this.

Also as no online updates can I add plugins, ive tried a couple of IPK plugins but return error (TSpanel, Crossepg, Autobouquet)

Real shame as these boxes are great boxes but missing EPG support as the 500 has the Cammando image

 

Switching to E2 gives access to full EPG if it would work, ive tried copy over the Rytec web address in the files but still not updating.

 

Do you know if it did work defore the recent Rytec updates?

 

Not sure how it works but do you thing coping over the rytec files form an 800 image (vix crossepg) will work or suggest an 800 image that would mirror this image better that I can copy over the files.  Or manually update if poss, had a google search but see any update files?

Hi PCD , It is long time that I want to tank you for what you have done and do for dm7020 enigma2.

I think that you underevaluate your work, the streaming feature alone would be worth to use enigma2 in dm7020

and who knows if you change your mind and start working again on it and maybe develope something to load an enigma1 setting list (without HD channels) on your enigama2 image ,

or even better develope a way to make visible HD channels in one way or another.

I am sure that as myself many others wait for your work(s). Just prefer stay at windows waiting better than partecipate to your efforts.

I did not even know that you had released version 10.  I was holding to version 9. This is a nice suprise ,obviously I was not looking in the right place.

 

Well I felt that I had to let you know how much I appreciated your efforts.

What streaming feature are you using ?

Hi PCD

I am gald that you decide to restart,  I still think that people only need to know what your image(s) can do for dm7020 and they will take 'em  out from the boxes. We all need a second or third decoder.

With your PCD 9.0 , I use streaming to android ( my smartphone). VU+ Player, AndroidDreamer(all freeware of course) work very well and are easy to set. Dreamdroid is an headache can't get to work it.

I have been looking for the same easy streaming to PC ( VLC would be my goal)  have searched some software for it but have not succeded.

if I may suggest something of interest in my opinion , it would be.

Possibility to use a USB digital terrestrial tuner ( mine is AF9015)

Possibility to get the wifi through the USB port.

Soon i will install PCD 10.0 . I only use multiboot and have a Gemini in flash.

sorry i think ive not asked correctly here please i am asking if the pcd 10 will do both e1 & e2 ipk or is it only for ipk e2 and the older e1 addons will not be working on the pcd 10.

I hope to see if i have made it a bit better to read what i am asking and thankyou.
