I have a file which groups all the newssites.  (CNN, Euronews, etc..)  In order to avoid grabbing them several times (because in every package they are the same) this file is copied to almost every other package.

Now,  BBC1, BBC2 and BBC Red Button are present on many different cable packages for different countries,  So I have put these as well in the newssection.

So they show up in the French (and many other) package.

I see. It is just not ideal for those who receive the different regional variations of the BBC channels. As there a differences in programming (especially in versions for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) the provided data via XMLTV is less specific and sometimes wrong.

Yes, but these have a different service ref which are not linked.  The general BBC1.uk and BBC2.uk are only linked to the cable channels.  (except for a few, from which I do know which regional variation to attach)

The regional channels have there own EPG in the UK file. (with the regional variations included)
