Hi Friends,

Greetings for the festive season !

Attached is a new plugin KodiDirect.v1.0. It plays kodi-xbmc plugins directly from official kodi repositories. Users can also use other plugins and repositories of their choice.

Plugins can be input directly to the plugin folder /KodiDirect/plugins, or inserted in the plugin file /KodiDirect/host.txt as links to gihub plugins folders, or as links to repositories (unzipped) placed somewhere in the image. Please see host.txt for examples.

Some older plugins in the repositories may not work as they need updating by the authors - and probably do not work in any other device (pc and android).

Software (in the addons list screen) will provide additional software which may be needed by different image types.

If plugin XBMCAddons is already installed - KodiDirect can be found in Plugins and also in Extenssions lists. Users can continue using XBMCAddons - but please note that it will not be supported any more. Any particular XBMCAddons plugin that does not work with KodiDirect - may be converted on request.

Tip :- Some plugins will require youtube. When it is installed - please get it working first before trying the plugin that asked for it.

Finally - please note that at this stage the plugin is "work in progress" and your reports of any problems and suggestions will be greatly appreciated by the plugin develpment team - pcd, mfaraj and xtrendmaster,

hi pcd,

greetings to you too and all the team

i know this is an openpli board but does this message apply to DM800 boxes running TSimage3 too ?

i mainly use filmon and utube and both work good in xbmcaddons..

i especially liked xbmcaddons because i could do minor alterations to the py files and

managed to fix what went wrong on my box.

does the kodi install include the py files too ?

do you advise moving to kodidirect in my case ?

Hello kaki,

 

Certainly ! Please test KodiDirect. If XBMCAddons worked - this should be ok. It has many more possibilities.

It is open-source - so the .py files will be there.

Thanks for this, i used the xbmc 8.1 addon before which had icefilms which worked great, i cant seem to on kodi, any info how to, thanks for your work to get this on enigma 2 ,

The icefilms is also for me by far the best plugin....is it possible to get it working on kodi??

Ok I already install the plugin, image Openpli OK. Now, I have try with other images and in Egami I can't install it, error in md5sum mismatch, I already did the OPKG update, and the problem continues. i repeat, on Openpli it works perfectly.

Any solution for Egami image problem?

I have the other box with Egami because the Ethernet port doesn't work, only USB Wifi, and in the newest Openpli the drivers of Wlan there are not installed by default, I Know that this is not the thread but, you know about install yhe drivers of wlan, I connect the USB Wifi and go to Network option, but I cannot select Wifi USB, only Ethernet (but my ethernet is no working) I Love OpenPli but I cannot use it

Regarding openpli and wifi - I hope the openpli devs see your comment !

 

Regarding the KodiDirect .ipk - just unpack it in the pc and copy the folder /usr to root '/' and check that KodiDirect folder is in /Extensions.

i try to install this on my Openpli image running on the Vu+ Solo SE, i downoald this from the first post then i add in USB , add usb to the box i install the extintion but i cannot see the pluggin in the menu at all, what im i doing wrong ?

when you open plugin browser do you have any error message?

I found it from repo xmbc-frodo

xbmc-frodo###http://mirror.ox.ac.uk/sites/xbmc.org/addons/frodo/

but I get an error when I run "RaiTv" :

"Error please submit debug log e.log" that enclose as required.

 

I note that the plugin XMBCAddons vers. 20141206 working properly

 

My box is dm800se with image Italysat 7
