I see this morning that there are now only 23 updates showing for my vuduo. Yesterday it was 200.
Is this smaller update safe?

We're still trying to get the build process under control again. 23 is definitely better than 238.
My suggestion if you currently have a working setup, is to do nothing at the moment, and wait for the message that everything is under control. And then flash the box.
You will keep getting the large numbers until you flash, because the package versioning system has been reset due to the big changes.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Why did my post get removed about this update leaving my box in a "NO CA FOUND" state? Thankfully, I found the answer elsewhere to use the mini-flashup button on the back and use my previous OpenPLI .nfi file, but it doesn't leave me with confidence for you to just delete my post without providing any form of assistance,

I could force OpenPLi (06.12.) to update again (over 2xx Updates), and after that another 2x updates by deleting the "vuplus-shutdown". The lasttimes, the file was rebuild automatically after restarting the box. Now that don't (and I had'n made a backup).
Now the box does not get up from deep standby. The only way is to pull the powerplug.
Anyway to get "vuplus-shudown" back without reflashing? "opkg install vuplus-shupdown" just leads to the information that it's "up to date".

Hi,
what about remove first and install then?
ciao
I tried it, but that doesn't work either. The "remove"-process couldn't find the "vuplus-shutdown"-file (because it's missing) and aborts the uninstalling-process automatically.

You can override that check and force de-install.

I don't read PM -> if you have something to ask or to report, do it in the forum so others can benefit. I don't take freelance jobs.
Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.

Thanks! That worked. Box now has normal behaviour again and can wake up. ;-)

i've seen enigma2 is not updating...
root@et9x00:~# opkg upgrade Upgrading enigma2 from 2.7+git12121+ca80480-r49 to 2.7+git12209+6e4612f-r49 on root. Collected errors: * opkg_download_pkg: Package enigma2 is not available from any configured src. * opkg_install_pkg: Failed to download enigma2. Perhaps you need to run 'opkg update'?
