Did the behavior of the info button when pressed in the channel selection screen change during the last month or so? I'm testing an up to date image now, after being stuck in mid-November for a while.

In the November image and earlier  I used to get all upcoming EPG events for a single (selected) service when pressing the info button in channel selection, but with an up-to-date image and my old settings transferred, I just get the event info (the same screen you get when pressing the info button when watching TV, mostly containing info you already have in the channel selection screen).

I can then press the yellow button after info to get the single service EPG list that I want, but this means pressing info then yellow every time (and exit twice to get back to channel selection), where I only needed to press info before (end exit once to get back).

Is there a new config option or something else I'm missing?

Yes, you did mis something. ;)

The introduction of HotKey, a feature which allows you to map any key to any function, or multiple functions to a key. You'll find it in the system setup, where you can map your EPG keys the way you want.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanks. If I change the Info button in Hotkeys setup to "Show single service EPG" I get the behavior I want in the channel selection screen, but then I also get that behavior when watching TV (pressing info with no GUI on the screen).

Is it no longer possible to get "Show single service EPG" when pressing info in channel selection and "Show event details" when pressing info with no GUI on screen? Or am I missing something again?  ;)

I guess it's not really clear to me which screens the hotkey settings apply to, since this one apparently applies both with no GUI and in channel selection. Surely, in most cases buttons still do different things depending on which screen you are in.

This is stil possible but both functionality is the same in infobar and channelselection but instead you can also use long info...

WaveFrontier 28.2E | 23.5E | 19.2E | 16E | 13E | 10/9E | 7E | 5E | 1W | 4/5W | 15W

Key functionality should be context-sensitive, so I can imagine people complain about this one. I don't find it handy as well.

@littlesat

How many more of the same message are you going to post? I already removed 3... ;)

Yes, I would also prefer it if either:

a.  INFO button in channel selection has old behavior (single service EPG) independent of Hotkey setting for INFO button.

or

b. INFO button behavior in channel selection and with no GUI can be configured separately from each other.

Apart from that context issue, I like Hotkey as a built-in MQB of sorts. I guess that will minimize compatibility issues. I think I'm gonna dig up my old MQB xmls and see which of my old MQB settings I want to try to transfer to Hotkey eventually.
