I re-flashed a backup image so I`m not able to present the output now.
If you think ext4 is built into the kernel now, might there be any reason why my HDD and USB drives have been left unmounted ? I have to admit that I did not try to mount them manually.
Yes, you are completely right, I made a stupid mistake.
Important information for all VU+ owners!
This monday VU+ supplied an update to the BSP which amongst others contained an updated kernel that has the ext4 and cifs modules inside the kernel itself. That means that the packages for these modules are no longer available, you won't see them in the packages list and that is as it's supposed to be. Using cat /proc/filesystems you can check if cifs and ext4 are actually available in the kernel.
I applied the update, but forgot to push it to our git repository. This means that all of the images (VU+) that have been build the last two days, actually still have the old kernel with the ext4 and cifs issue. Besides that, there have been a few building problems which resulted in massive unnecessary package updates.
This update also contains a fix for the issue that an update made the receiver unbootable after a kernel update (which I haven't checked myself, volunteers?).
To make it up to you guys, I have started the building process this morning, WITH the updated BSP included. I expect new "good" images to appear on the website within an hour.
