Hi,

I try to search on the forum but I haven't found a reply. I installed the latest image for my Atemio Nemesis and works well but I noticed that I cannot use letters when compiling the name of a server, I can use only numbers because usually when I press on my remot the "2 " buttons it let me choose between 2 / a / b / c but here I can digit only numbers. I read it was a bug but is not solved yet ? thanks

As far as I know, Atemio Nemesis is not supported by OpenPLi, so I'm afraid you are on the wrong forum.

I don't understand why instead of helping to solve u have to criticize ? Help if u are able. Is not a problem of box because Vu+ and others has the same problem.

It was not meant to criticize in any way. The question about the Vu is legit which one do you use?

Same drivers, same bugs. Clearly a clone.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I referred to your Atemio, with which you opened this thread.

It's a bug in all VU drivers. One that is known for years, and one they can't be bothered to fix, since they've worked around the bug in their own image. Something we can't, and won't, do.

It's incredible why in a forum if I ask help, all starting telling it's a clone, it's not supported. Do u know why there's a bug or not ? I think if I don't know is better shut up. Atemio it's not a clone and Openpli images are available everything. Vu zero is original, I tried blackhole and now this but I noticed that bug.

You started by saying it has the same problem as an original VU+. That can only be if it uses the VU+ drivers. And that is only the case with clones. So it's an obvious response.

Yes, we know EXACTLY what the bug is. VU+ knows it to. But they won't fix it. And it isn't the only bug, there are more.

It's a big bug, so I have to choose another one.

I spent 300 euro for Atemio + 129 for Vu zero and both have bugs in their images. Incredible.

thanks anyway

At least before you buy a receiver, check if there is ORIGINAL OpenPLi support for the receiver if you want to install/use it. And we don't support clones, whatsoever, and we're not going to discuss that decision.

Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.

To be honest, that won't solve this bug, all VU's suffer from it, and we have official images for them all.

@MrFunk,

It's the famous alpha-test bug, where the driver reports the remote is an alphanumeric device (aka has a keyboard), so Enigma switches from "mobile phone" input mode to "keyboard" input mode. Which is false, as it's a standard remote. This in turn is caused by the driver re-using the input device for every possible input, instead of having multiple input devices to handle different capabilties.

VU+ worked around it in their image, which we can't do, because that will break it for all non-VU images. And we refuse to add a "if VU+ then hack something stupid" to our code.
