Today can be changed PLi-HD skin not only to PLi-HD2, but newly to PLi-HD1 too. Almost all is finished - later I must find better solution for selectbars and volumebar.

no, PLi-HD1 is PLi-HD with margins 20px only. PLi-HD2 is with 40px margins

Maybe you can adapt the names of the PLi-HD1 and PLi-HD2 to be more understandable/readable.

 

I really like the 20px margin version (except these grey selection bar   )

Your great work on PLi-HD1 gave me some ideas.  

 

I adapted it a little bit as following:

Modification of infobar:

- use SHD picons,

- modify progress bar,

- move tuner, video size and crypto server to bottom.

- add EventNow and EventNext End time

All is black (top and bottom and selection bar) instead of darkblue.

Add picon  (feature request by my little childs. They don't read text yet, but they can read images  . This allow them to easily select their favorite cartoon channel.

rework upper PliExtraInfo data (splitted into 3)

rework EPG information panels (now horizontal instead of vertical), this give more space for EPG.

I created PLi-HD1 as subtle skin with some idea, without picons on each screen etc... still is not 100% final.

 

Interesting changes, but make it then as own skin based on PLi-HD1 (or use this changes in your skin_user_Pli-HD1.xml).

Hi can you add channel info (frequency, polarization, symbol rate, etc...) to channel selection list in PLI-HD1 skin? (like in this post http://forums.openpl...i-hd-m-mod-20/)

Huge picons is for mee too much, others do like it...
So for everyone there is a choise...
Please try to figure out how gitjhub works and post your skin 'dialect' on github...

I agree a skin is taste.

Only way to satisfy everybody is to make it configurable.

So working on a skin configuration plugin should be a solution.

Allowing us to have the choice between many infobar/second infobar (which are the main skin parts mainly used) could be great.
Each of us can propose their own infobar/second infobar template creation.

What do you think about this idea?

You can use own modification, when you place it into /etc/enigma2/skin_user_PLi-HD1.xml file. It will be used for PLi-HD1 skin only (= screens used here have priority ).  When you place it into skin_user.xml , then it will be for all skins.

 

Between <skin>  ...  </skin> place any screens (whole), which you want change or screens for plugins missing in skin

 

Example of own user file:

  <screen name="Screensaver" position="fill" flags="wfNoBorder">
    <eLabel position="fill" backgroundColor="#54111112" zPosition="0"/>
    <widget name="picture" pixmap="PLi-HD/logos/pli_saver.png" position="0,0" size="130,40" alphatest="on" zPosition="1"/>

Skin configurarion stuff is terrible when it is not good balanced and needs additional python code included... The best is to keep it simple... This to avoid bugs and get the best performance...

where are the settings for picon size?

I have the large 220x132 picons but the skin still displays them as 100x60
