Greetings

Recently I have been looking for a new tuner for in my living room.

Currently i have a DM800 HD SVR (openpli ofc), hooked up to a 60cm dish with a duo LMB,

I am looking for a replacement tuner so i can move the DM800 to the bedroom.

But i can't really decide what to buy. I have been looking to the VU+ DUO2 and the XTREND-9500

If i remember correctly you can "stream" the signal to a second receiver in the same house.

So basically i got 2 questions,

What is a good receiver for around 250/300 euro's (preferred with toshlink)

And can you "stream" your signal to a second receiver by a different brand.

thanks Pretouska

Please look here first: http://openpli.org/wiki/comparison

What are your requirements?

Requirements,

That is a good question,

I'd say 2 tuners, would like to record/view multiple times

If it is possible digital audio (toslink) to my surround

HBBtv,

I have canal digitaal. (NL)

The problem with the http://openpli.org/wiki/comparison, for me is its a little bit to much "mumbo jumbo",

I can install it no problemo, but the abbreviations are just a little bit beyond my knowledge

Understandable, that's why I ask what's your requirements.

What kind of tuners, sattelite (DVB-S) or cable TV (DVB-C) or "digitenne" (terrestrial) (DVB-T)? Do you have a dish/LNB's with two outputs?

If it is possible digital audio (toslink) to my surround

Good news, all of them (except the VU+ Zero) have a TOSlink connection.

HBBtv,

Official support on Xtrend and VU+ receivers (which ones can be found in the list). Unofficial support for almost all using the openopera plugin.

I hope that helps a bit.

Unofficial support for almost all using the openopera plugin ->
I'm very interested about PLi+my DM7020 HD+HbbTV
Is there any hope to get it to work?
Our terrestrial provider starts with the HbbTV and this I need to get to work, but of course, not with the Dreambox original software, that supports this, but with PLi. So if anyone knows, whether this plugin openopera could work with DM 7020HD?

I'm sorry, I can not answer to the questioner as PLi compatible DreamBox'es are not produced anymore :-( Other boxes I don't like.

DVB-S, i have a duo LMB with 1 output, but I would not mind upgrading that one either.

Currently i regret it, for i can not record and view all the channels.

the answers you have been giving are great.

But what about the last question, about the "streaming" through my local network

Sorry missed that. Streaming uses a manufacturer-neutral system (enigma-specific), so it's no problem at all to stream between different brands.

If I can help with the comparison list please yell.

What would you recommend?

Think i'm getting the hang of the comparison list.

If I would have shares in one manufacterer I might try to push you into a "certain" direction, but I don't, so I am afraid you will have to choose for yourself ;) One advice, check the other topics for experiences of other users with various models.

What I am trying to tell is that we as OpenPLi members try to be quite neutral towards the different manufacturers. This doesn't count for the forum members, so please all state your experiences!

pretouska, which box you took, and are you happy with it?
I ask just out of curiosity, because here would require DM7020 HD V1, however, they are no longer sold anywhere.
