I installed last night build, transcoding plugin from feed, but I have only 2 options, bit rate and video size without change port. And in openwebif second icon is white. When I try it, video is full. Can you help me please?

Thanks.

- The transcoding plugin you don't need, the transcoding plugin is not used for the actual transcoding

- WebIF: this is a known bug in the WebIF, report there (but maybe it has already been fixed).

So if not using the plugin, where are the settings for transcoding, do we have to edit text files?

Use a proper app that adds the parameters to the url.

Ok, I use Vu+ Player, but it's not very good on iPad Mini, much better on Android.

The VU+ player can supply the parameters.

Indeed it can, on Android, not so well on iOS though (I have not been able to find any advanced settings at least).

In that (unlucky) case, you can install the plugin to change the DEFAULT transcoding parameters.

@hypnos, Can you describe your issues a little more, perhaps with some pictures too?

I have been testing streaming on my Duo2 and it works but not very well, pixelated/blocky picture on my laptop, a Macbook Pro with VLC, and on my iPad with Vu+ Player

I am using the plugin set to 500 kbits Bitrate and 480p Video size.

Unfortunately my Nexus 7 needs charging, empty battery at the moment, but I will test with it too in a while.

I know there is a problem with the OpenWebIF regarding to transcoding (or there was one, I am not sure). The icon for transcoding was missing. But it has nothing to do with the actual transcoding.

You are quite right there, it seems to handle both streaming and transcoding quite ok on my Nexus 7 using Vu+ Player, playing the videos with BS Player (Vu+ Player opens BS Player automatically).

Regarding the WebIf, I have two icons, one for EPG and a second one for Streaming, no icon for transcoding though (I seem to remember having one some weeks ago).

I use Vu+ Player on android as an transcoding client, in my web browser i have no icon for transcoding at all!

What happens when you click the white 'monitor' icon?

Yes @Erik Slagter, I did read your post, but I'm slightly curious on why I only see one icon for streaming on a quite new build, and OP also sees an icon for transcoding, and he's also on a new build.

OpenWebIF is quite something else than an app...
