It works with my et8000 too. Great. file copy It is a little bit slower than over the integrated ethernet, but I hope it is stable.

Hi - after three years - I am wondering if I should reincarnate my ET8000 using three dvb-c as well a one dvb-c/t2 tuner.

Issue back then as topic says the VLAN port on "ET10000 " is flapping continuously , similar issue was for ET8000 I believe?

To cut a long story short, the ET8000 I used barely and my ET10000 is still being used, however just the 100Mbit port.

Since dish has been removed and just DVB-C left, I want to swap my H7 with the ET8000 so could use 3-4 streams simultaneously.

The box will act as a server and UHD channels ( +/- 25Mbit ) will be displayed on client.

Therefore it is of utmost importance, the Ethernet port works without any hickups, preferably full Gigabit speed , but could survive with just 100Mbit if that brings stability I guess.

Any view on this?

TiA!

Excellent

Never had an 8000, so I can't comment on the quality of its ethernet port. But I used the 10K as my main box back in 2014/2015, and never had a "flapping" port issue.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I have both and can confirm the "flapping" issue on the ET10000. Wanwizard pointed that out to me. I changed to the 100mb port and had no issues with flapping since. I (still) use 3 ET10000's.

@jort38 - cheers for that, so using the 100Mbit port only on my ET10000 was a wise choice, now what about the ET8000 . This box has one LAN port only but hope not similar side effects as ET10000 ....

Well, I do have an ET8000 (in Thailand), but that gets an anual update from a stick as it is not connected to the internet. That box is only used when I am there on DVB-T.

So I have no recent experience with that LAN port.
