hello all,

I just received the Vu + Zero and I have to say I am a little disappointed because I find it not easy with the remote control, it is much slower than my Vu + DUO.

I install OpenPLi 4 and still the same, I find the temp too high latency.

I can be that it comes from the remote but unfortunately the remote of Vu + Duo does not work on the Vu + Zero

these are originals, not clones.

Vu + Duo on when I press the left down arrow button to select a channel, it is extrenement fast.

On the Vu + Zero when I left he will not support.

Does that can come from OpenPLi ?

Thanks

ps: sorry for my bad english

You can't compare the VU+ Zero with the VU+ Duo! The Zero is a very Basic low-end version receiver. This does *not* mean that it is bad, on the contrary, but it simply does not offer the speec and comfort of the Duo. It is meant to be a 'viewing box' only, nothing fancy. It has a very sleek design though :)

The VU+ Duo and Zero should be comparable speedwise, look at the specs.

The logo you (should) see is the manufacturers boot logo. It is part of the bootloader of the box, not of the image.

OpenPLi doesn't touch that, since it is the manufacturers logo. Other images have a bigger ego, and like to replace the manufacturers logo with their own. Which gets you in this mess.

So you should complain at vti and openatv, since they remove the original logo and replace it with their own...

From what I know is that with most boxes, you can flash it like you flash an image or a bootloader. It is referred to as the "Splash" screen.

Maybe if you flash the VU+ original image first, you'll get it back. I think also VIX installs the vendor image by default. And otherwise Google might be of assistance.

Problem solved, thank you

I flashed with the original image and handed OpenPLi.

Everything is back as it should.

Thanks  ;)

ps: Another question why the image are not the same size as the day?

What do you mean with your last question?

In the download section, the images do not have the same size depending on the day, I want to know why is it that there are things less or more?

Thanks

Make some C program, compile it and watch the size. Now change one line and compile it again and observe the size. The size always changes, it's perfectly normal.
