I think the SF8008 can also use the dmmBlindScan. The PLi blindscan plugin gives you the option to select either the dmmBlindScan or use the binary utility. I really don't see any reason for this because the dmmBlindScan is not worth using in the SF8008.

I was directly involved with the development cycle of that utility and there wasn't a built-in.

I guess that explains why the hardware type does not work. So there is no reason to have it setup as shown below.

Just some entertainment related to VU+ Solo2 blindscan GSOD's. pli 8.2 (crashes seen on previous releases also). Scanning 19.2 all Astras.
- V+H full scan = crash.
- H only, always ok.
- V only, always a crash. Seemingly hitting a wall located inside 12005 - 12015.
To get it going: 1st V+H scan up to 12005, then a 2nd V+H scan starting at 12015.
Or do a full H scan, then a V scan up to 12005, then a V scan from 12015.
Can quickly reproduce crashes doing V 12005 - 12015 scans.
Maybe the blindscan is choking on 'something' with the 12012 V transponder ?

I have raytec 4k multibox with rs6060 tuner when I try to do blindscan the reciever freezes at some point.
does this tuner supports blindscan or not?

Support for blind scanning is declared by the manufacturer.
This may be a manufacturer driver issue.
And check on other images openATV/openViX.
