Hi.

I've been using OpenPli few years on my VuSolo and VuDuo.

Last week, my Duo goes to more peaceful place.

Therefor i'll buy an VuUltimo with 2xSatelite tuner (orginal?)

Installed lastest Pli nightly build, and everthing works like a dream.

But, first evening, 18:00, it starts to works a lot. Was able to ssh to the box, and run an "top" for look at cpu/load work.

434   430 root     R     189m  70%  50% /usr/bin/enigma2

47% CPU use.

My old Solo, use about 5-6% .

Tried cccam and Oscam, with no help.

Tried three different night build, with same problem.

Disabled WebIF.

No recording when recorded.

Disabled tuner 1/2 for test.

Thx for help, i really want to use OpenPLI further.

Lie

FYI

I suppose you already know that there is a common problem with Vu+Duo, a capacitor C807 that needs to be replaced that stops the receiver from working,

there are many reports on this problem.

I see the same on a Vu+ Duo. In standby, CPU load is 50% for enigma2. OpenPLi version 2014-12-23

EDIT: If the box is rebooted, CPU usage for enigma2 drops to 0-1% in standby.

Hi.

Yep, already read about that, and tested it ok.

It was the Card Reader Chip who ended the boks. Disconnected the reader protocol, and something else. (the local shop store locate the error) .

Anyway, Ultimo is new, and still want to use it, with openpli ;)

Greets.

Same her. For short while. Rebooted about 2 hours ago, and it start lagging again.

CPU 4-5% after reboot, now 50-60%.

Edit:

In standby, 44-45%.

Only EIT EPG on.

My Vu+ Duo has been in standby for about 3 hours, CPU usage is 0-1% for E2.

I wouldn't buy a VU+ Ultimo, just because of the older technology (unless it's second hand of course, and dead cheap).

Hi.

First of all, VuDuo never had this problem.

Second, it wasnt planned to buy new box at this time. Get an really good price for Ultimo, and had just become an family of 4 ;)

The flash and mem has X-times better space than my old VuDuo. So yes, would choose Duo 2, if i could.

It seems like works good tonight. By do nothing. When i wake up this morning, after set box in stanby last night with 50% CPU use, it was down to 2-3%, when watch tv. (HD channel) . It seems healthy good again.

I will try few more days, and take a try to enable web if again. It shouldnt be the problems, because it works nice and smooth on my Duo.

Clean install, except Kernel Skin and cams.

Openpli:

Any hope for change back to "channel list - epg button, for simple epg list?" Not "epg twice"?

Or any shortcut for back to the old function?

Thx :)

433   429 root     S     131m  49%   0% /usr/bin/enigma2

Its in stanby now, 0% cpu use.

What is "VSZ" btw?

CPU usage or free memory says next to nothing. Just ignore it.

Good

Continuous cpu usage at 50% means that something is polling all the time and one of the two cpu virtual cores (threads) are always occupied. This is not to be ignored, it shouldn't happen, especially if it doesn't happen at start but it happens after usage.

Day 2 of testing. Everything seems ok so far. In use 1-2% cpu load after 7 hours watch tv.

Gotta note when 50% cpu load,it's shows work "signal" on tv , is running every 10 seconds in 30 sec. Subtitles lagging and switch channel/open menu/channel list is takes 5-6 secs to respond after press remote control.

Agreed.

Mine still at 0-1% after 2 days of use.

Since other people don't suffer from this problem, it must be something unique to your specific setup. If your hardware is not broken, and you actually have what you seem to think to have, that is, not a clone, it must be something in software that you and only you are running.

Your first step should be to re-flash the box, WITHOUT installing any extra plugins (yes, also that one you're so fond of). A softcam you'll probably need, and we know that EPGImport and AutoTimer aren't causing problems, so these you can install. The rest is to be considered suspect. Remove the "autoinstall" file from the backup directory if you've used autobackup.
