Had the same dream when I started with satellite reception.. Started off with an Amstrad SRX310 analogue set and 80cm dish. I live in Northern Europe. After Astra 1 I decided to motorise my dish-setup. Received satellites from 45W up to about 45E.. Learned soon enough that some satellites have a footprint that lay beyond my scope. No matter the size of the dish, the beam will simply not reach you. Sad thing that the earth is round and not flat Best to allign your dish as perfectly as possible on the 'center' satellite you wish to receive. With a correctly mounted H2H you can then explore other satellites within your reach...
yes you are right about the maxmun ark
its from 150 degree to 165 degree from first sat in west to last sat in east
last avalable satin east in cairo is chinasat 110E C band I only recive 100E
in arish the last one is pallpa 113E also in C band I recive 105E
but the dish is vertical and earth noise make reception much harder and I need a bigger dish
sadly the west side is blocked
I should recive 30W easly but the first sat is 22W with bad signl ( buildig and mobil towers )
