Dear opli

I was using a couple of month old opli without issue. Wanted to do an online update, but it failed. So I reflash the lastest image, and I have a issue with setting resolution : basicaly, either in the initial wizard or later in AV parameters, trying 1080(either i or p) kinda crashes the box. The video continue, but skin is missing, and remote is not responding

Any clues ?

@opli team,

I have investigated a little here. When manualy launching enigma (inti 4) after editing settings to ask for 1080, enigma would hang very early in the process, when setting video. If you tried to crtl+c at that time to abord it, it would complain about stuck ioctl. Loocking at your git, I did notice that the kernel modules where updated a couple of days ago, with a 'fix display issues' label, so I started wondering if there was a link there, So I downloaded the previous 20141205 modules from hd-digital and manualy replaced the files under /lib/modules/3.17.3/extra, reboot and voila, it works, So my humble guess is either those drivers are buggy, or the way to ask them to change resolution has changed, but either way, they do not currently  work with your image.

I am running the hd2400 in 1080p50 mode, no problem. But I must say I didn't yet update since that change.

Oh I was previously too :) But not with the  latest change I'm afraid (I might obviously be wrong; I differ to your better judgment :))

As I am using this receiver "in production" I am hesitant to update ;) I hope someone else is fierce enough ;)

Mine is in production too, so this 'episode' was not so welcomed by my wife :D Anyhow, here is a receipe to get you out of trouble if you updated and find your box is crashing :

- start your hd2400, enigma will crash, let it in that state. Network and samba should be up

- download previous modules : http://downloads.mut....3-20141205.zip

- open either with samba of ftp your hd2400 files and replace/overwrite the 4 files in  /lib/modules/3.17.3/extra by the one in the zip (leave cdfs.ko alone ;))

- reboot your box (you'll have to use the power switch for that)

- njoy :D

The drivers have been reverted by the manufacturer. Update tomorrow and it will work again.

Good, I was not tooo wrong then :D. Actualy, looking at the md5sum, they are not the previous drivers, despite what their comment says on the commit :D

I think it might be missing a git commit, I can see one for the previous change (http://sourceforge.n...15cdbbb9eaf861/) but none for yesterday's change

I have made a script that automatically merges all updates from all manufacturers' bsp submodule.

So this is what I do:

$ git pull

$ ./update

$ git push

So not really much work :D

Takes about 10 seconds to complete.

Probably an issue on my side, but thought I would mention it just in case. I did a make update and got that :

   d1ebbb3..58d19da  master     -> origin/master
Updating 52ce60c..fc25815

which I tought was ok, but then looking at the ùeta-hd rep, I did otice the hd1200 receipes where not present. Investigation further, I had this :

dreambox@ubuntu:~/openpli/openpli-oe-core/meta-hd$ git show
commit d1ebbb39a935bcc8fee260800e4aee056035b12c
Merge: 29750d3 f26e86b
Author: HD-Digital <hd.stb.digital@gmail.com>
Date:   Tue Jan 27 21:33:27 2015 +0100

    Merge pull request #1 from milosoftware/master

     linux: Fix build for new OE versions

Strange !
