Hello Everybody!

I have recently purched an old Vu+ Duo, and thinking of installing openpli in it.

I'm using an art7070 usb dvb-t, and watching channels mainly from Thor and Sirius.

Is there any big "issues" or problems that I should consider before flashing Openpli in it, such as

subs on sd and hd channels, epg, picons, oscam, network mounts, dvb-t usb or watching mkv-films with external srt files (sub)?

I know that the box is getting "old" but maybe it's possible to get it to work properly?

I'm now using OpenVix but the box behaves very "slow".

Thanks for tips in advance, and greetings from a cold Finland

The Khan

In the old days I selected OpenPli because they were the only one to treat Subtitle in a correct way..

OpenPli is the only choise for Vu+ DUO, and you will never regret.......... IMHO..

OpenPli still treat Subtitle with respect  ;)

Yep, OpenPli is good. Installed it today, and it's getting better and better.

The box is responding faster than with OpenVix.

- subs working fine on sd and hd channels

- network mounts ok

- mkv movies with external srt, also ok

- picons and oscam working fine

Still some visual issues with the graphical epg, still need some "tuning" to get it as nice

as in OpenVix...

The only thing that didn't work for me was a Anysee E30 usb dvb-t tuner.

Thanks to OpenPli, very good job

Don't know if this usb tuner is supported but dit you try to install the 'usb driver' for this from the plugin's?

I also use a dvb-t usb with my vu duo and it works fine, just needed to install chipset moduels from plugin's and reboot,

to get it working

If your Duo is unresponsive using OpenViX it is configured wrong. I use it on mine and it works fine. If you think it is too slow get a Solo2.
