Put the PY in the directory and restart. Then delete the PY. Will overwrite the PYO.

My personal opinion is a tuner that is set up in this crippled fashion should be avoided for anything but an emergency. Certainly wouldn't be recommending this for being committed.

Much better would be set up a fixed dish for major positions on both tuners and just have the motor connected as an extra on one of those tuners. Or even better have an independent motorized dish on each tuner, combined with fixed dishes for fast zapping.

Huevos, when I now go to Satfinder, I am now able to change to tuner B. :)

However, when I press KEY_DOWN to choose a satellite, the field is empty - there are no satellites to choose from and so this is probably why I get a green screen:

I've checked and it was always like this before I ever looked at it. Same in manual scan, Same in blind scan.

The best solution.
Finish recording, scanning what you want.

There's no need for that. Just set the "satposdepends" tuner as preferred tuner for recording. That way as long as the recording is not started on the active service the main tuner will always be available. And E2 won't release it if dish movement is necessary. This is how it works in Satfinder also. If the "satposdepends" tuner is recording and the active Satfinder tuner requires the dish to move a warning will be shown.

Probably. I never said it worked in the past. I just hoped something was overlooked and could be modified to enable using tuner B for service scanning.

The same goes for Satscan, Manual scan, Blind scan and Fast scan - it is not possible to select tuner B.

The best solution.
Finish recording, scanning what you want.

Sure, but only with tuner A.

I have an attenuator on tuner A and no attenuator on tuner B and it would be very useful to compare signal strengths using Satfinder but it is impossible now.

So if the modification suggested by Huevos produces green screen, shall I now use the original plugin.py file (without removing "satposdepends")?

I know I'm being stubborn but wouldn't it be possible to make tuner B see satellite positions from satellites.xml? In this way, maybe I would avoid the green screen?

By the way, when I look at /etc/enigma2/settings I see the following 3 entries for my tuner B (Nims.1, right?):

config.Nims.1.diseqcMode=toneburst_a_b
config.Nims.1.configMode=satposdepends
config.Nims.1.powerMeasurement=false

Is this correct for "second cable of a motorized dish"?

Maybe this is what prevents my tuner B from being used for service scanning?

But at least the GSOD should be avoided...

The GSoD is only because he edited the code to a non-working version. There is no GSOD in the current code.

And the settings for the master tuner are?

Tuner A - positioner and then twin LNB

Tuner B - twin LNB directly

There are no DiSeqc switches on the way, just an attenuator.

Do you think I should remove this line or change to something else?

Please note the menu on my ET9000 shows Tuner B as "Second cable of motorized LNB Tuner A".

OK, so I just need to revert to the original Satfinder plugin.py?

No way to make tuner B see the satellites?

Attached please find a screenshot of what it looks like when I select tuner B in Satfinder (after the "illegal" modification"):
