[VU+ DUO2][Hungarian] strange characters in the EPG

I have a VU+ DOU 2 with the latest openPLI image. In the EPG we can see strange characters instead of the normal Hungarian characters (éáűöüóőúí) how can I correct this?

Edit: My sat provider is UPC direct

Do you use Rytec XMLTV EPG?

If yes, can you provide a couple of screenshots pls.

Which channels?

etc.....

Give as much info as you can.

PS: I checked the Hungarian XMLTV file and I cannot see obvious errors. However the file is over 20 MB. Without a bit more info I cannot search for errors.

It looks like a font problem.

When I open the XMLTV file and locate the entry of your second screenshot:

Which is correct I believe.

Secondly: The title in the XMLTV file of the program you denote is: Az ember bolygója 6.

In your example it is Ember .... (The Az is missing and Ember begins with a capital)

And in your example, the director is missing.

Are you sure this comes from the Rytec sources?

Read our FAQ's pls. on disabling EIT (and other EPG's)

Thank you for your answer.

Regarding the FAQ:

- With system tools all EPG removed

- Crossepg is not installed

- EIT, etc is off

- Rytec Hungary XMLTV is selected

- Currently the 99% of the EPG info is missing.

- As you can see only the HBO EPG info visible, without the strange character issue

Yes, Check the service refs.

You use THOR 0.8W

There is a problem with Thor.

These are the refs included now.

As you can see, most have the E070xxxx Namespace.

However there are boxes (and images) which a E080000 Namespace to THOR.

And f.i. HBO is included with both the namespaces. E070000 and E080000

I could simply add a duplicate of the refs with a E080000 Namespace. This will solve the problem for most channels.

There are also channels with something like this:

Which is difficult to automatically convert.

I have added the duplicates ans uploaded them to the servers.

You can give it a go now (restart enigma first). Or wait until tomorrow.

And give me the service refs from the channels which are still missing EPG.

You have to give me the correct Service refs for these.

These fall into the category - strange service ref.

Checked, and indeed a whole bunch of channels had something like this in the log:

channel UniversalChannel.hu site -- MUSOR.TV -- update mode incremental
no robots data found
skipped robots check
no index page data received from UniversalChannel.hu
unable to update channel

I think some debugging is in order. I will try to fix and upload a new file asap.

New grab is running at the moment.

Since this needs a full new grab (too much errors in the cache - so deleted the cache) this will take some time.

I hope to get the file on-line by lunchtime.

About these strange characters, can you post an example please. (Cut and paste some of the EPG schedule from the webif)

Preferable one from the schedule of tomorrow or even the day after that.

Since I do not read Hungarian, I find it difficult to find a couple of characters which are wrong.

Slovak or Romanian text instead of the Hungarian title:

If you load the Romanian and Czech/Slovak package as well, you have to load these before you load the Hungarian packages. Because some of these channels also appear in these packages. And the last loaded package wins. In order to do this, edit the rytec.sources.xml file in /etc/epgimport/ on your box.

Select the Hungarian section and move it to the end of the sources list.

However, in the Hungarian Package I cannot find:

Comedy Central Extra

M4 Sport

Nickelodeon Europe

Can you tell me the service references for these channels pls. For M4 Sport and Comedy Central Extra I can add a schedule. Nickelodeon Europe I cannot find yet on Hungarian websites

Minimax and Spektrum have Hungarian EPG in the XMLTV file (for as far as I can tell - They are grabbed from a Hungarian website)

Also the service ref for MTV European is needed. However also no schedule to be found on a Hungarian website. If you can point me to website which holds the correct schedule, I will try to include it.
