There apears to be a firmware problem with the crossepg 0.8.1 working on the ET9000.

It hangs at reading titles at 195k. This fault only appears on open tv providers on ET boxes

I tried the same version on the Vu+Duo no probs.

So Finally can some guru fix this cause I am getting fucking sick of having to down grade to 0.6.2 after I update my box

It hangs on 195K when reading titles you need to use the exit button to get out of it

That is kilobytes of data downloaded, not events.

And if someone from PLi could use their wisdom to make OpenTV EPG download native in E2 we wouldn't need to use this plugin any longer.

That has been discussed for a long time, and you know why it hasn't happened yet.

Besides that, that would solve the problem for SKY channels, but not for all other providers.

If there is a problem with CrossEPG, then CrossEPG must fix that.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

@ Alias1

Any .log in /hdd/crossepg ?

If no useful log, patch the src to have more info into the logfile.

I'm just joking... And yes, I'm refering to OpenTV... but anyway the big difference between doing it with Cross and doing it native with E2 is that E2 could download the short version off the currently active transponder, just like happens now with Freesat, Whereas Cross downloads from the home transponder on schedule.

BTW, never had any trouble with the latest version on OE-A.

@Alias1, go into Satfinder and make sure you have good signal on, 28E DVB-S 11778 V 27500 2/3, on the tuner being used for the download.

Fixed it by changing the box to a VU+ Ultimo loading the latest PLi and trying different ipks for 0.8.1.

Installo crossepg
faccio le selezioni dei provaider che mi interessano
e quando vado nella sezione ordine di avvio provaider
non ci sono i provaider selezionati, quindi non scarica nulla, come risolvere???
Allego le immagini per farvi comprendere meglio.

Translate:

install CrossEPG
I make selections provaider that interest me
and when I go in the boot order provaider
there are provaider selected, so do not download anything, how to solve ???
I attach the images to make you understand better.

@isteric2005

Have you added alias.conf from clouditaly to /usr/crossepg/scripts/alias ? Then you have to select 'Alias: do simple aliases handling' in Script Provider.
Then order like this: OpenTv / Rytec CloudItaly / Alias

In this way i can download italian epg with crossepg on PLi4 and BH.
