Then it might be interesting to find out what do "smarter" than we do, if it really is smarter of just more risky and then maybe include that code into enigma itself?

Dimitrij - I tested v 1.6 and is a problem.
SignalFinder v1.6 does not scan transponders.
The example below. - scrennshot 3 , 4 .
screenshot3.jpg 93.72KB 0 downloads
screenshot 4.jpg 51.19KB 0 downloads
While Signal Finder - which is in the image scans.
screenshot 1.jpg 67.22KB 0 downloads
screenshot 2.jpg 71.42KB 0 downloads
What is the reason?
Another thing.
Signal Finder v 1.6 is not an option for scanning Multistream with PLS.
Input stream
PLS MODE
PLS CODE
1.jpg 55.45KB 0 downloads
Can these options make for Signal Finder v 1.6?
In addition, Signal Finder v1.6 works very nicely.

Yes. That is why I say I use it. I don't think I mentioned a fault?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I'm talking about opening on the same tuner and transponder.
The idea is you find a channel that needs adjusting and then you open satfinder and sort it out. Opening on a different transponder and tuner is clearly wrong.

I use it for example to fine tune the dish, and I find it very handy that I can use a free tuner for that, so that recordings or the current TV image aren't impacted.

How are you able to fine tune your dish when there are no options available to move or store the moved position ?
I can only fine tune my dish from the positioner setup menu using the movement or fine movement options and then store from there.
If fine movement of the dish and store could be added to this plugin it would complete its usefulness,at the moment without these options its hardly worth using it.
Ian.

I use my hands and some spanners to move the dish, I don't have a positioner.

@Dimitrij
Any chance of adding options to allow fine movement and then store the new position into settings ?
This would then truly be a useful plugin to have.
Ian.
For this, there is a special plugin positioner setup.
Move dish and press menu for save.

How is it possible you can adjust your dish while watching TV and the tv image and recordings are not impacted?

Agreed. A better name for satfinder would be signal meter.

As I said, it is for fine tuning.
This particular setup is using a triple-quad LNB made by M7 for use in the Netherlands and Belgium. On a dish that doesn't have a fixed mount, but is mounted on a non-penetrating roof mount on a balcony. This setup is outside it's intended usage range, which makes setup very complex and difficult since the skew of the three LNB heads are not correct.
Using the plugin I can tune into a channel of 19.2, open the satfinder on 28.2 and fiddle with the dish and LNB, and immediately see the impact on both. Obviously, if I fiddle too much, TV and recordings are impacted, but I'm a careful fiddler.
