this 0.8... version is a 3rd party plugin, so you probably shouldn't blame OpenPLi that it's not up to date /?/
the openpli version built form sources is ok...

(and the question is, whether should be 2 versions of crossepg available in the feed? what's the purpose of this?)
True sarcasm doesn't need green font...

Good question, I was about to ask the same. Is the 3rd-party feeds actually taken care of?

I did not realize this version is a third party plug-in.

Where is it taken from?

the website www.crossepg.com does not exists anymore.

I presume then this:  https://github.com/E...plugin-CrossEPG

is the 0.6 version?

It think 0.8 version is here:

https://github.com/o...plugin-CrossEPG

And in the Github it is updated as well.  (andyblac)

I do not know how the vti folders are arranged.

These could be different from the folders in OpenPLi.  Although for this plug-in I really doubt it is. (But it is possible)

Ask for support on the vti website pls.  And if they do not know how to update the plug-in let them contact me.

You have to ask the people at VTI this.

If they get the Crossepg here,  it will get updated.

If you have the choice install the 0.6 version.  Contrary to what the version number says this seems to be the most current.

If you cannot find this.  I modded the 0.8.1 version with the new sources.  You can install it via telnet.

Willy

Reason for edit:

Download removed:  did not work as supposed

Will post later a working version (I hope)

Our version comes from E2OpenPlugins, but it seems like the author is no longer interested in updating that repository since we decided not to join the OE-Alliance. So if there is a new version elsewhere, this author needs a good slapping...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I think the author has left the scene completely. The OE-A version is being maintained by others (but you're welcome to use it as well, as it's also an 'open' plugin).

That would explain it. Still, I think some slapping is in order... ;)

In fact I would prefer that the additional features from cross epg were included in enigma2 itself... Such like we received a while ago regarding a UK cable EPG.

In fact cross EPG is a big work-a-round for stuff because it is not included in enigma2 itself... Reading foreign types of EPG... But that is a different story where nobody also started to perform the "work".

I am bit further in my investigation.

First they are 2 version in the OpenPLi feed.

Crossepg 0.6.2 which is from E2OpenPlugins
and
Crossepg 0.8.1  which is delivered to them as an ipk, and is not updated.

To make things worse you can select whatever version.  It installs the 0.8.1 version

The 0.6.2 version installs via telenet (enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-crossepg-dev) but with a lot of warnings.  It seems to work surprisingly enough.  But a lot of these warnings are about python.  And I do not trust this.
HomePage: https://github.com/E...plugin-CrossEPG

The 0.8.1 is not updated, and from questionable source.

I can install the update needed for the rytec sources to be recognized again on this 0.8.1 version.  And it works.  But trying to import EPG with it, does not seem to work.  At least in the two attempts I made.

To be continued

Willy
