Store these files (after unzipping) in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPluginsCrossEPG

Restart your box.

Merlin is a OE2 image for Dreambox.  This image does not support XMLTV import.
Or via not very official roads.

 

Pls. do not complain about this here.  Complain about it on the merlin webpages,  so they support it.

Dev's can get the sources, once they prove which method they use to download the files.

Looked at the log.  (and deleted a large chunk of it - contains the full url's)

You have the correct sources.  This is not the problem.

 

But what then? 

Not the channels file and the XMLTV file.  They have not changed in format.  (they are of course everyday updated)

They import normally in the XMLTVimporter and in the off-line epg.dat creator.

Which is BTW the only one I support.  I know a bit from crossepg but since there have always been problems with this, I do not support it anymore.

 

Which image do you use?  For which box?

There is no OpenPLi image for a Cloud Ibox.

This is not an official supported box by OpenPLi 4.

But if it is OpenPLi derived you should be able to use XMLTV-import on it.

Is it not included in the feed?  Inclusive of the Rytec sources?

 

I see there are also OpenVIX and OpenATV images for it.  Any chance with the XMLTV plug-in in there?

in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/

 

delete:

crossepg_rytec_update.pyo

and

crossepg_rytec_update.py

 

UNzip the attached file and copy the pyo file to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/

restart enigma

 

Run Crossepg..  Update the Rytec sources.  You may have to do it twice (I had to)

Hello again! CrossEPG stopped importing EPG data for UK XMLTV some days ago, I have tried updating sources and it says 32 providers updated, started download and it does download and say parsing data etc... but after, nothing appears in the EPG.

 

Any suggestions please?  I am using 0.8.1 as you recommend, should I try the modified 0.6.2 linked above instead?

 

PS: I am using a Gigablue HD Quad Plus so I cannot use the latest version of OpenPli, even if i wanted to  I am not massively attached to crossepg but I'm not sure if other importers workon this box, and if they do whether they include the subcategory into the title like crorssepg does? so we can see episode info in titles on the epg list/recordings etc, or is this simply down to the source of the epg data and how it's formatted?

 

Anyway, what changed just recently??? Why can't I import to crossepg any more?

Nothing has changed the last days.  The update dates back several months now.

If you cannot update anymore, I would not know what is wrong on your receiver.

You could start with posting the import.log  (or crossepg.log).

If you have this on your screen, you have the latest change onboard.  Because this the last change.

 

Can you tell me which image you use?  If it is OpenATV, OpenVIX or VTi you could install XMLTVimport.  This is in the feed of these images - or is already installed.  (Some other images have it also in the feed)
