So, i completly let down crossepg for epgimport wich is working much better, better, better.
And it's working in back ground, the stb is not blocked when it works.
crossepg like his name says, is a real cross

Oh man this is random.. or somebody fixed something on a server somewhere, because as-if-by-magic it's now working again as normal.
And I am using OpenMips 4.2 as it seems like the only image that gets updated regularly for this GiGaBlue HD 800 Quad Plus receiver.
I wish it was easier to find new/updated images for this box, they seem scattered over various sites where each forum will have a just one image updated with a load of older images.. anyway I digress
Keep up the amazing work man! Thanks for your continued support
If this happens again I may try XMLTV importer, but does that group the title with subtitle like crossepg does for the current UK XMLTV? (like "20141228 1257 - 5_ - The Gadget Show - [Science] (15_15, series 20)" ) it's important to have this because they repeat so many things on TV here and don't always include series info in the main description, also it's nice to know how many episodes are remaining in the series. (that's the second number, in this case episode 15 of 15, series 20)

Also, this probably isn't the place to report it but RT HD and NHK World HD programme listings for UK XMLTV are often wrong, mostly for RT HD but sometimes NHK also so I can never record my favourite shows on these channels, if this can be fixed that will be awesome.

No. This is actually a "feature" of crossepg. (I call it a bug).
It was never meant to be this way.

I grab the schedule from RT (RussiaToday) from here: http://rt.com/schedule/
And the same schedule is being used in all packages.
What more can I do.
The webpage also states: Please be aware that the schedule can change. We are a 24/7 global news agency and the news dictates the schedule, not vice-versa.

Ah ok, no worries I'll keep them in autotimers and just keep checking them, thanks
"Boom Bust" and "Breaking the Set" are really nice shows, it's great how they cover quite detailed info about economy and news but communicating in a way that any average joe can understand, definitely worth checking out if anybody is interested in such things.

The UK XMLTV files are on-line and up-to-date.
Are you using the XEPGDB files by any chance? SIFteam has pulled the plug on those.

Do not know, and I do not want to know.
There are so many problems in Crossepg, I do not want to spend anymore time on it.
If somebody else ants to spend time it, be my guest.

PS: rytecimport does not exist.
The plug-in is called XMLTVimport
The sources (XMLTV files) are from rytec. And by the way these files are also used in crossepg.

Hey, can I get a status update on rytec sources please? I re-flashed with another image that used to work well with crossepg and tried various versions of crossepg but it always says "cannot retrieve rytec sources" now, when trying to "update rytec providers" from the config menu.
If there is no support for updating these servers officially, can we get the servers URL's so I can update the settings manually.
thanks
