My device: VU+ ZERO with the latest version OpenPli 4.0 (updated today)
thaks a lot
On OpenPLi use XMLTVimport and XMLTVimport-rytec.
It can be found in the feed (extensions - near the end).
This saves you all the hassle of getting Crossepg to work.

I've used XMLTVimport and XMLTVimport-rytec already but wasn't glad of readability.
how about crossEPG - shall I delete it?
for a time being I've got a schedule for 7 days and I,m glad but sometimes it is only several hours and I've no idea where the problem is.
CrossEPG downloads something (even manualy) but there is no effect. So I think it is useless.
But what to do to have schedule always for next 7 days?

XMLTVimport is an import plugin, there is nothing to read, so what do you mean with "readablility"?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Crossepg and XMLTVimport use the same XMLTV files. There is no difference in the result. Except there are a few bugs in Crossepg which result sometimes in mixed up channels.
However, if you use the OpenTV EPG possiblities of Crossepg, this is a different method altogether which XMLTVimport does not do. In this case you have to keep using CrossEPG. But I cannot give you any assistence on this subject.

XMLTVimport is an import plugin, there is nothing to read, so what do you mean with "readablility"?
I mean: e.g. there are TV series and other shows and when I use XMLTVimport I see only main title without any other infos.
Example: by pressing EPG button and sorting by time (or title) I see on my screen something like that
0:00 Friends
2:30 Friends
5:10 Friends
7:40 Friends
9:20 Friends
etc.
and I know nothing more so I have to go to every one position and look at it's schedule each time to know more.
Example: by pressing EPG button and sorting by time (or title) I see on my screen something like that
0:00 Friends 2 e17 - The One Where Eddie Moves In
2:30 Friends 1 e2 - The One with the Thumb
5:10 Friends 2 e18 - The One Where Dr. Ramoray Dies
7:40 Friends 5 e9 - The One with Ross's Sandwich
9:20 Friends 2 e11 - The One with the Lesbian Wedding
that means I can see also season, episod and title and that's fine for me.
But unfortunately I can see only guide for next one or two days more often and whole week hardly ever;(
etc.
Now I use only standard EPG form the image and I have more info

Then your using other sources to import EPG data
If you use CrossEPG with Rytec's EPG data, your EPG would have been exactly the same as with OpenPLi's native importer.
So you don't have a Rytec question, you have a CrossEPG issue. Which means you're disussing your problem in the wrong forum.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

You are right for sure!
For me there is a difference because CrossEPG doesn't work - there is nothing to download (I see it on downloading bar). I've tried many configs with no positive results.

And disable all other EPG sources (EIT, MHW etc...)
These will overwrite the imported EPG.

Using Crossepg I see only this:
"cannot retrieve rytec sources"
Which is a Crossepg error. (Bug).
The answer to this can found in many other threads.
But on OpenPLi, use XMLTVimport. Believe me it is much better.

On which channel (service ref pls.) do you observe this behaviour.
I will take a look at the grab (XMLTV file) to see if here everything is OK.
