Ideas, please......

And I am seriously disappointed that Holland didn't export all its fundamentalist puritans to other continents long ago..... What is stopping them even today - don't they see just what they are up to, wherever they are?!?

If only things were so simple, black and white, clear cut, yes or no, 0 or 1....

Suddenly it's very cold in here, indeed...

And mindless...

FYI, PB have again, lately been the most creative and imaginative force in the hobby and all of it ended up in public domain, from Yocto layer working for SH4 or ARM platforms, to now having Kodi working from E2 and then back to E2 again, functioning rather nicely together... You know, what no one else on the planet has...

Imagine the consequences for the hobby: all the stronger HW, all the platforms now have it all - think... if you can... in your puritan "mind"...

Oh, it seems you are handsomely proving the usually held presumption that being dumb goes very well with being a dogmatic, puritan fundamentalist.... Well done, all-in-one, very efficient!!!

I have just explained how PB have "achieved" more that most teams ever will (you included, it seems) and that these "achievements" have found its way to everybody...

But don't let that stop you: never give an inch! That "Western attitude" and "value" brought untold misery to billions around the world but hey... one can't have it all...

Now others in the world are "arriving" at such a "value" and look at the mess we're in... But don't let that stop you either...

Black and white!!! Just so long as you don't have to think for yourself... Dogma! That's the business!!!

Bring back the Inquisition (say you)!!!

Now, mark my words: the way things are going, almost all of your equipment will soon benefit from PB achievements!

Soon you will be using PB stuff (in various images) and if you don't - oh, well... Fundamentalists... :D

1- You are the one who invited us to have a look at PB. I always grab an opportunity to look into mysteries unknown to me.

2- When I did it seemed to me to be a closed environment, while in a glimpse I found a lot of (open) PLi & ViX stuff. And apart from you inviting me there, I also noticed to see your name as betatester, so I gave you the opportunity to show me that I was wrong. I wasn't: all the talking you did, did and doesn't hide the fact that PB is indeed closed.

This means it's a site full of stolen property; stolen by license violating people  And there's more to it:

3- Being 'closed' means that it doesn't exceed the level of any home brewed image. And that in itself means

4- That PB will never contribute to any other Open Source E2-porject. It is not even possible. That would be a contradiction in termini.

So PB is a perfect example of 'how low can you go'!

And yes: every E2 image builder who respects himself (and others) only builds his creations as 'Open Source'.

PS: Please stay on topic, and refrain from involving all kinds of politics in here. And the use of decent language would also be very much appreciated.

The only thing that counts is respecting each other and each other properties/licences. That's the only way forwards for any open source project (which E2 still is, in spite of all the bandits of the world).

No, you stay on topic! You strayed from the topic to extreme fundamentalism! I was trying to help and you were pontificating without even knowing the elementary facts! A true blue fundamentalist! You do not need to bother with facts, asking questions if you do not know them etc. Just attack! You are the righteous man, so just go for it!!! So, yes, you are the seriously discourteous and fundamentally disrespectful person here!

And you are wrong on all counts! But the fact you do not know how Yocto layer or anything else ended up in other images is another matter...

But keep being as presumptuous as you can be - this will serve you really "well" in life of prejudice and "righteousness" of the fundamentalist kind: you never have to make an effort using your own head... A simple black-and-white single principle and shoot everything down in flames, never mind you do not know anything about it. Just pass the big ol' judgement! Wallop!

The English have a great proverb: "Presumption is the mother of all f*&#-ups!"

But it would be a waste of time to ask you to think about it...

As you go on talking around the subject, I'll refrain from answering any more. Apparently you're not able to discuss the subject properly.

And as long as PB is closed source, while using other peoples work at the same time, there's no point in looking at PB at all: I can't possibly use any closed part, even if I would want to.
