VU changed from there old DMM dvbmedisink to the much better Pli dvbmediasink and much more big changes, so for a good working box a update is not enough, you need to flash to an image build after later then 21 march

ok, most of the things worked with autobackup! Great! 

But some not:
- password
- plugins (and because of this the skin, cam etc.)

 

Is it possible to add this in the backup.cfg?

Then you need to enable "autoinstall" in the plugin.

Only thing is, that it has to be plugins from the feed.

 

You could auto install plugins from another source like usb or hdd but then you have to put the the source lines in the autoinstall file in /etc.

If it's not there ,you have to create that.

but if you can confirm that with a fresh image flashed the movie player would work again I will flash him tonight again

sorry i have no VU and i have no plans to buy one to try all those things

I will try tonight and I have all different video files on hard drive , avi mp4 , mkv so I will test it

Well I updated brand new image from 19 april 2015 , the error and issues with media player are still here , now even worse because movies with x264 codec player doesn't play sound for them. Funny thing for codec h264 sound works ok , but skipping forward or rewind is still a issue.

My question how often VU releases drivers ??

As i said before new images from openpli are unusable and i had to put back image from december 2013 as everything works.

Am i looking for bm750 modules or vu solo2 modules ? Because there are both fresh from april 2015.

BM750 = DUO (the original, old DUO).

I'm not sure, as my Solo2 is not available atm.

i use open pli on vu' solo2 from 9.1.2015, everything perfect.

with newer versions i aso had problems with media player

Erik I've never mentioned that and never accused Openpli team of using old driver. I just want to have confirmation, so I will contact Vu and start nagging them to repair the driver.

It is easy to check for you but not for me , I'm not expert in Linux.

Erik you say nowadays is info menu. I just want to remind that i wrote few post above that I use image from december 2013 because thats the only one which I have and works well with media player.

I have problems with media player on new versions of open pli. But not only pli, open atv 5.0 and vti 8.2 are also having problems. Vu+ solo2 is box. I guess problem is in new drivers. With open pli version from january everything is perfect.
