When can we expect you update timezones?

Now it is very outdated.

At least in Russia we miss some timezones which apper an year ago...

If openpli team doesn't care about this can you suggest me how I can update timezones by myself?

You can read about changes in Russian timezones here:

Also if I compare /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe in openpli and in the latest Ubuntu I see big difference between them...

This is about tz2014f. Openpli already uses tz2015a.

The latest is tz2015b which will land in openpli when te openembedded core is updated (which is done regularly).

Geen wonder... Had slechts een dm7000, maar wel ook een rotor. eigenlijk al een tijdje ook een dm600 en dm7025. Maar nu kijkend met een et9000 en vuduo

Good day

I have a similar issue of timezone, and this for a long time ago after a certain Openpli 2.1 update

I am not able to select a timezone GMT+1 with NO daylight saving

The west central africa should do, but actually it doesn't

So I am obliged to change the timezone manually twice a year, CET in winter, and London during summer

Any help please

OpenPLi 2.1 is old and is no longer maintained. It is only still being built for the original DM800, an end-of-life box.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

It is because of outdated timezone.xml as I understood pli-team won't change it. You should change timezone.xml for your own purpose. I had to change my timezone.xml by myself, but I need replace it every time after update tuxbox-common package ((

Linux doesn't use that at all afaik, and the linux timezone definitions comes from OE, and we're only one update behind.

What does this xml do?

I do not know whether openpli used timezone.xml from here: http://sourceforge.n...tc/timezone.xml
but if it is, then the file has not been changed since 2012.
If in file is missing something, or is wrong, then I think that the same user should clearly specify what the need to add or change (<zone name="(GMT...).

I think openpli team can know the all world time zones.
