I am planning to incorporate the changes mentioned here in a few days.

Don't forget about /usr/share/zoneinfo/ files!

They are not a part of this issue, they're up to date (by OE core).

And do not forget to correct: <zone name="(GMT+01:00) West Central Africa" zone="Africat/Kinshasa" />

I think that therefore for gladiator not working West Central Africa.

Thank you.
Riga I mentioned just for example.  ;)

Here you can see all the changes that I've made to use the cities listed in settings: https://bitbucket.or...c31e5df7e7f7e02
Somewhere I read that the error is to use Omsk for Ekaterinburg. This fix also you can see my changes.

Also you can install tzdata-europe package

But I hope openpli "sync" zones in timezone.xml file with files in /usr/share/zoneinfo/

Simply choose Istanbul for Riga, and there will be as many years.
As I wrote above, I prefer to use the cities mentioned in the selection.
Of course when changing timezone.xml then need to use the tzdata where is files for this time zones. But it must be in enigma depensies.

So you're saying now that the changes you proposed don't actually work.

I quote this alredy the second time.
If you change only timezone.xml, but do not add the appropriate files from tzdata, then it is not working!
Each change in timezone.xml the need for appropriate file from the tzdata. From which come these files in image I do not know, that you should know.

I assume, that if you change timezone.xml, in image this files already is, but now I see that it's not true.
