Didn't read what hemertje wrote?

You need hacked drivers. Drivers are provided by the manufacturer, so if they don't supply those drivers, we don't have them.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

i didn't understand, sorry

so vti image developers hacked drivers and that's why ci+ standard is fully working with that image?

I doubt that, drivers are closed source, their source is under very heavy NDA.

So they must have come from the manufacturer, or the manufacturers developers team, since access to the original driver source is needed.

It also means it is not something "in the image", it is something specific for each different box. So even if one manufacturer releases these drivers for a specific box, it still won't work on any other box.

Since you don't mention what box this is about...

vu+ solo2

as i said i tried VTI 8.2 and ci+ is working fine, just like on TV with ci+ cam. so it's not ordinary CI but CI+, big improvement IMHO.

I heards that BH image will make this available too.

here's copy paste from another forum

"Supported devices: Solo², Duo², Solo SE
CI+ and softcam are working in parallel mode --> use common interface assignment and setup the CI module with corresponding channels/providers/caids
Recordings from deep standby are working also for services with parental control pin (please save PIN after first PIN input)
Known issues: none"

i still don't understand why this is possible on VTI and not on open pli? :)

Could you post a link please? As on http://www.vuplus-su...561#post1013561 there is no mentioning of CI+.

They deleted this info from official changelog. Check their support thread, they are talking about ci+ support. It seems that ci+ modules are working now.

As this is illegal you cannot have such support in OpenPli. Also VTi sources are closed which is another problem.

Indeed: VTi is closed source but based on Open Source; hence VTi itself is illegal (with or without CI+ support).

A softcam is not per sé illegal if you use it to obtains codewords from you legally obtained smartcard (as most of us do...) "Breaking" CI+ security is defying exactly the whole purpose of the system and can be considered, imho, quite illegal.

If this support is present in the official drivers, I'm sure that we'll receive a BSP update one of these days. Not sure if this requires changes to Enigma too...

DMM also has this on their 7080HD. For DMM it is an external binary that "talks" to /dev/ciX and handles the signing etc of CI+ in software. I will flash VTI to my Solo2 to check if it is something similar.

A softcam not pays royalties for different CAS systems... so these kind of software who emulates a conditional access system are quite illegal too.

If an eye can be closed if these softwares are used only to read our regular subscriptions into our boxes but they break any kind of law if used for CS that should be worldwide illegal.
