Is it possible to switch receiver to stand-by mode while menu or channel list is shown on the screen?

Looks like it's an engima limitation? Maybe there is a workaround?

In menu this should be already possible...

In channelselection not (yet)

Sometimes relatives switch off TV using stand-by button on TVset.

In such case TV is off while receiver is still on. Next time when i switch on TV and select TV channel on receiver it goes to stand-by automatically, looks like previous HDMI-CEC stand-by command is in cache.

Annoying

I agree with you.

They never notice the fact that the receiver was left on, sometimes all night.
