Is there a method of setting the volume to a higher level for specific channels such as the HD channels on Freeview which always seem very low compared to all the other channels? This is on a VU+ Duo2 running Open PLi 4.

The problem has already been mentioned.

Read this post and those that follow:

So far I have not tested anything mentioned in there (different image or the particular plugin).

Although i dont have an answer for your question.

Me  like you, I find that in some cases it is almost impossible to reduce/control the volumne on some/all HD channel on (28.2e). This situation also happens on many other "Providers" where the Publicidade volumne is more strong than the original Program.

I see no answer, and the fault it not, Opli

imo It would be good if tell if the "Service Provider" STB has the same problem ?

ColinB, thanks for your input but you are saying things completely not related to the original post.

This is a particular case of 27.5W AAC volume which is considerably lower than any regular channel on any satellite and this is puzzling.

I've tried the Auto volume plugin and unfortunately it does not seem to allow me to set the volume on the target channel higher than the rest of the channels. It only allow me to set the volume "upto" the level of the rest. Seems a pretty pointless plugin if you ask me.
