hi i downloaded ts panel mispel and updated in this forum to insatalled flash expander plugin (ts media pluging something)reboot

but when i go menue/plugings/flash expander/create flash expander green screen coming up,i choose ts panel becouse i don,t have technical knowledge and i want to use my 8gb memory stick on my original dreambox 800hd(not se)

i sent the log file here which i found in hdd:

Crashlog does not show OpenPli 2.1 (which is the last official OpenPli version for an original DM800HD-PVR). Furthermore TS-Panel is notoriously known to alter system settings from which you are unable to recover unless you flash your STB again. So either you are running some 'modyfied' OpenPli 3.0 version or you do not own a genuine box. If your box is started from power down does your OLED show Dream-Multimedia and BOOT #84?

Normally you do not need flashexpander since a properly formatted USB stick is recognised by the STB. Just plug it in, reboot the STB and do a mountlist or lsusb..

Also keep in mind that the DM800HD is still OE1.6 and not OE2.0 and runs on kernel 2.18

mine is original dreambox 800 hd(not se),open pli 2.1,and i did format it in ts panel/tool/device manager/format(exit3)/mount

now i want the flash expander becouse give me lot of room for plugins skins epg,and i don,t think i have to make partitions which i have no idea how to do that (seen somewhere epartion software dose this on laptop)

but just now pressed flash expander green screen again

however you said iusb recognised by stb ,this is not enough,i want to use my 8gb usb stick for plugins epg skin picon all in one place or everyone of them must be made different file in usb

OpenPli 2.1 is a bit old. In OpenPli 4.0 and OpenATV 4.2 the box asks where to download picons and EPG data (there is no need for flashexpander at all). In OpenPli 2.1 this may not be the case but you could try... TS-Panel is a very bad piece of programming! As you can read all over the different sat-boards. If you insist on using TS-Panel you'ld better flash the TS-Media firmware...

i don,t think i can use open pli 4 .0 it is for dreambox 800 se and higher model,if i can let me know,open pli 4.0 is not for my box (dm800)

i think i need to try open atv 4.2 for dm800

OpenATV 4.2 works fine... Use this firmware on all my boxes....

i am flashing open atv 4.2 but it is unziped and 58.0mb,just 2.0mb left ,if i put my channels setting with dreambox edit it will crash becouse dreambox edit will send the channles to dream memory and not enough room,please tell me what to do,as well as other plugings

if i want to install ipk packaGES ,ipk installer will ask where to put but if i downloads from open atv feed dose not ask me and gose to dream memory,like xmltv and rytec importer did not asked me,how can i put this plugins in usb ,i see usb in device manager

My DM800HD-PVR days are long ling gone. It was last sold in 2010 and dates back from 2007 I believe. This means that the box is at least 5 years old. Images and STB's have changed dramaticalky since then. Your box is now the oldest with the least of memory in existance. Images have grown to incorporate more functions, sleeker GUI and this simply no longer fits in this tiny memory! To operate an STB in OpenPli or any other image for that matter simply needs about 10 Mb free memory for plugins and 'stuff'. So look for an image that doesn't exceed 50 Mb.
You could try the images of www.dreamboxupdate.com and select the OE1.6 images for your DM800. This image also alliows flashexpander to install (it's in the files).

Better still, get yourself a new box and use OpenPli 4.0. I am a bit afraid that you simply want to much from your box. Modern functions like external EPG, Picons etc. Were not available in the haydays of your DM800HD

A slight oversight on my side: Use the OE2.0 files instead of OE1.6 (it does not offer flashexpander support) but OE2.0 does... Sorry for the mistake...
