Hello everyone,

When we enter the channel selection menu in our boxes, we sometimes navigate way down to reach the satellite we are in at that moment.

In my case I have four satellites organized by position:

 - Astra 23E

 - Astra 19E

 - Hotbird 13E

 - Atlantic bird 5W

I usually use Hotbird. So each time I select a different bouquet, I have to navigate down through many empty channels (Astra 23 & 19).

What would be cool is that only the channels of a selected satellite will be showing. For example if we select Hotbird, then in every bouquet we enter, we will only see the channels of Hotbird.

So, how doable is this in your opinion?

Thank you.

I don't understand what you mean.

When you select a bouquet, you navigate through the channels you have included in your bouquet.

If they are empty, delete them from bouquet and you'll no longer see them.

If you have 4 satellites in 4 different bouquets (groups of favourites) then how is it that you have to navigate through other satellites then the one you are currently on?

Or is it that your "bouquets" are all in one favourite bouquet? If this is the case, separate them into 4 different groups of favourites.

Yeah! Not exactly what I meant. I mean when we choose the bouquet "Movies" (auto-created by dreamset editor / kingofsat data), it would be better if we have only the movie channels of one pre-selected satellite.

Now they look like that:

---Astra 23---
1. Sky Comedy
2. Hbo
3. BBC movies
4. etc
---astra 19---
5. Action
6. Canal+ Xtra
7. TMC
8. Etc
---Hotbird 13---
9. Cinemax
10. Polsat movies
11. Prima
12. Etc

The selection is by default on the first channel of the list. So, we navigate down the list to reach the tuned-in satellite (Hotbird).

But what if the system remembers the satellite we have already selected. The bouquet list would then show up the channels of that satellite only. If on Hotbird/Movies, then it would look like this:

---Hotbird 13---
9. Cinemax
10. Polsat movies
11. Prima
12. Etc

(The other satellites won't be visible)

No, I have multiple bouquets organized by entertainment type (Movies/Music/Sports/News... )

Each bouquet contains all the installed satellites. They are grouped and they are all visible. My point is that it would be better if the other satellites are hidden except the one that we have previously selected.

Now when I enter the channel selection menu --> click the blue button --> select a bouquet such as "Movies", I see something like this:

---Astra 23---
1. Sky Comedy
2. Hbo
3. BBC movies
4. etc
---astra 19---
5. Action
6. Canal+ Xtra
7. TMC
8. Etc
---Hotbird 13---
9. Cinemax
10. Polsat movies
11. Prima
12. Etc

I navigate down to Hotbird because that is the satellite I am on.

I wish things were like... I enter the channel selection menu --> click the green button --> select "Hotbird"

Then when I ckick the blue button --> select the bouquet "Movies" only the channels of "Hotbird" would show up. Like this:

---Hotbird 13---
9. Cinemax
10. Polsat movies
11. Prima
12. Etc

Sorry, I said empty because I have one dish, so Astra is useless when the dish is on Hotbird.

Since there are markers in your bouquet based on position, you can press < and > to quickly navigate between markers.

Yes, that is true. The markers along with the < and > buttons are useful. I use them all the time in addition to the left and right buttons.

My request is not based on an urgent need, it is rather on a function that could be cool. I guess.

I think that it is up to you to organised your bouquets/favorites in another way.

You can create bouquet per satellite and category:

Hotbird-Movie

Hotbird-Sport

....

Astra-Movie

Astra-Sport

...

And then place the channel there so when you are in your custom favorite then you will only display channels that you can currently receive.

How do you want to tell the STB that in your favorite you have channels that you don't want to to watch?  If you are on Hotbird you will perhaps want at some stage want to go to Astra. If STB automatically hide all other channels except the one from Hotbird how will you be able to go to Astra?  By going back to all satellite select any channel on Astra and then come back to your favorite.

I think that it is up to you to organize your channel in a way that best fits your usage/need.
