I'm not banging on anybody ... I just posted in friendly words that my eybrows raise a little when I read such requests ... and there is no real kernel issue when you don't depend on strange modules to extract nfi images

On closer inspection by the coders, that last point is agreed...

MultiMiniBoot works... From what I can see - in all machines...

Maybe ... but it doesn't work as the clone box owners want it ...

I'm not "hating" clones, or people who own such boxes ... I simply try to avoid supporting or helping them .... which is my personal decision ... if you like it or not ...

Hehe... one "avoids" an oncoming car, what you are doing is constantly aiming for them... :D

Btw on HD51 I see openmultiboot in the feeds, it does get installed but then prompts that the dependencies are missing like nandsim and cannot install them. I love the idea of having two multiboot options on HD51 since OMB provides unlimited images for testing.

Openmultiboot is not required for hd51... use the multiboot within the inage instead.

So if I understand correctly if I install OpenPLI in the first partition that it has OMB in the feeds, it will work right?

Certainly HD51 has the inbuilt multiboot but only 4 images are supported, and since OMB works on similar hardware I don't see why not having an alternative! I'll try on the first partition!

So I managed to install OpenMultiboot on OpenPLI on my first partition of my HD51. I even managed to install an image on my USB stick but now I have this problem.

Warning!

'/sbin/open_multiboot' not installed!

When I try to install it from the menu I get opkg prepare url for install: Unknown package openmultiboot, cannot force reinstall.

Of course no boot menu is possible this way.
