Yes, that is why we develop and test in the proper development and release candidate branches!

The actual version of OMB works quite well here. OpenPLi 6.1 on flash, and OpenPLi 6.1 on USB.
But VTI 13.0 on USB has some problems: after update no OpenWebif...

Thanks.

Yes, they use slightly adapted OpenWebIf, but they don't publish their changes. So yes, they are violating the license.

Dimitrij, can you drop the check, please? Would it be possible?

A coder and I tried different versions of OMB, including yours, which showed a lot of promise - except that it discriminates... :(

An old kernel 3.2 has a bug, it seems... Although he fixed the "no block2mtd" problem, after installation, in various versions, a zipped image is not being properly decompressed, the folder is empty...

Any hints?

Cheers!

The plugin is intended for standard receivers (Vu+/Xtrend/Edision/Formuler/HD51/VS1500/Zgemma) with official support  OpenPli.

Yeah but the plugin is given away to everybody...

And it doesn't work even on some boxes it was intended for, hence the request, so one could possibly contribute and improve it...

m8 what is it?

I think he means "mate" because we have odin m9 and m7 but not m8.

As he wrote "block2mtd" and "3.2" probably he's using it on a dreambox ...

Ah, sorry, I thought everybody knew: "m8" = shorthand for "mate/colleague/friend".

Even in original 800SE it doesn't work, it seems... And sometimes it is temperamental...

Even when you add block2mtd to the feeds and it installs, various versions of OMB do not unpack a zipped image (empty folder) etc.

So, IF the box checking could be removed, that would be a very cool contribution to countless poor people around the world, stuck with old boxes, with rather limited flash...

Pretty please, if you have the solution to these problems, share it with other coders, one way or another... ;)

Thanx! :)

Barry Allen Multibooting works nicely on these old Dreamboxes BUT it doesn't work on CLONE Dreamboxes ... hence your request tells me ... something.

Clone users love to put a patched image in Flash and then extract and Multiboot unpatched original images.

You are talking from your rear end, as per usual, when the subject gets into this area, as you are seriously prejudiced...

Try thinking: OMB is the issue here and there seems to be a bug in the 3.2 kernel, even in original 800SE.

But yeah, why not evade the issues and bang on about the clones and clones and clones...

Get a life... Ever heard of "live and let live"?!?
