Hello,

I'm fighting this issue for one year already.
So, my hardware is E9200 with four sats (4-port diseq, 4 converters).

2K channels, two paid packages. Also, 5 custom bouquets (besides All Channels and Last Scanned which i though is default ones).

All works fine, i'm happy, also i'm doing backups before soft update using iDreamX app.

So, after soft update (Menu->Settings->Software update), all my scanned channels are gone, i'm seeing N/A in all my bouquets. So, i have to scan all my sats over and over again every time after software update. Also, i've got some extra bouquets which i'm erasing all the time, and they are coming back as "living dead" so i can't kill them once for all.

May be i'm doing something wrong or so.

How to protect my scanned channels, settings, bouquets etc...

Thanks in advance.

Then you've used a non-standard satellites.xml, and you have overwritten the file default in the image with it. Since this file is under version control, if you update, you will receive an update, which wil then overwrite your non-standard one.

For example, Sirius is on 4.8E, and our satellites.xml has it on that position, but a lot of xml's floating around on the internet, and that may include lists you aquire from third parties, have this one on 5.0E. So it you update and ours overwrites yours, all channels referring to 5.0E will now become N/A. There are a couple more of these notorious orbitals, but it could be any deviation from the standard.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

If you're preciously scanning yourself, use the supplied satellites.xml file and everyhing will go well. If it's just a few transponders you're missing, just scan them manually.

NEVER overwrite the lamedb or allow dreamboxset or similar software to overwrite the lamedb, you will get exactly this.

Actually, i'm never touched this xml file. At least manually from the terminal. May be iDream doing so.
Also, those bouquets are stored in this xml too?
Ok, i'll do the test, as it currently updated, i'll delete unwanted bouquets using menu, and will not use iDream.
I'll wait for 2-3 weeks, and try to update.

Blame iDream. If you're having this kinds of problems, don't use bouquet editors etc.

So, after soft update (Menu->Settings->Software update), all my scanned channels are gone, i'm seeing N/A in all my bouquets.

Most likely you have downloaded a setting via out ipk system. This means your settings are also updated during an update... inlcuding the lamedb. WHen you have a service in a userbouquet that is not available in lamedb will give the N/A result...

I recommend to read your settings via a settings editor, remove the package, and put the settings back via the settings editor.

Ok, i'm not touched channels, bouquets. Not scanned anything. 4 Month passes and i've ran the update.
As a result all my channels turned to N/A as well as some new "preinstalled" bouquets comes back again.

I'm giving up, so, today together with my wife, i'm going to the soothing range, and i will shoot this sat receiver.

Cheers.
