Supertennis is already included:

1:0:1:7D3:22C4:13E:820000:0:0:0:

and the XMLTV file contains data for it.

So it should have EPG.

Taking Pictures:

1. You scanned 28.4 E which results in a deviating service ref.

Normally all British channels are considered to be located on 28.2

This normally result in a service ref: 1:0:1:c508:96b:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

You have: 1:0:1:c508:96b:2:11c0000:0:0:0:

This different Namespace causes confusion. So I will recommend to scan the channels at 28.2 E

2. I cannot find an EPG for it at the moment. Do you have a webpage which list the EPG?

3. I will add both the variations to the channels file. However I cannot link anything at the moment. But the refs will be in the channels file the moment I will find the EPG data.

Good news.

I kept on looking around and found a schedule.

So the channel will have EPG tomorrow.

You will have to load the UK source for this.

Supertennis is already included:

I am at loss what to make of this.

Standard dm500hd 3.2.4 image with crossepg ipk shows the epg data all fine.

Signal strength is ok, PIDs and 1:0:1:7D3:22C4:13E:82000:0:0:0 are all the same.

Can it be an antenna problem, although the picture is fine at 11.4 dB?

Taking Pictures:

THX I appreciate that

Great!

Pls specify: What do you mean exactly by "load the UK source"?

Do you mean setting freeSAT EPG to YES in EPG parameters (that is enabled of course)?

Willy, I liked the current Opli image because it had EPG data without installing an extra plugin -

it came with EPG-settings under MENU/SETTINGS/SYSTEM where I enabled all sources, especially FREESAT.

Does your answer imply that I need an extra XMLTV or CrossEPG plugin because that one channel?

Or can I hope that having enabled FREESAT in current EPG-settings (which gets all UK channels nicely)

will have tomorrow the EPG? It should cover the channels menat by "UK source".

It would be nice to understand where you added the new channel.

Is a change in my box needed to get its EPG or

have you changed the source of the EPG which is selected by having enabled freesat,

so that no change in mx box is needed?

Thanks for your patience and answers. It will make sure next time it will go smoothly...

:-)

Bernd

PS: I should perhaps mention that I first took my box to a place with internet connection,

did the basic setup and then removed it to its current place where there is no web connection.

For XMLTV import and Crossepg you will need a permanent internet connection.

I have added the channel to the rytec system files. These can be imported with XMLTVimport of Crossepg.

As for the Freesat system. This EPG arrives over the air via the sat. And if in Freesat EPG this channel is not included, I cannot do anything about this. Or in fact nobody can do anything about it, except the provider Freesat itself.

I went for CROSSEPG 0.8.1.

That works for the Italian EPG but not for the UK EPG.

Error was "No valid NIM found"

I had to modify the file skyuk_astra2_28.4.conf Attached File skyuk_astra2_28.4.txt 684bytes 16 downloads

in /usr/crossepg/providers

based on the file skyuk_astra2_28.2.conf

Now both EPGs download nicely.

Hope that helps some of the folks with "No valid NIM found"

(The file had to be named .txt instead from .conf to be uploaded, so rename it to .conf again)

Sadly for some time now the TALKING PICTURE EPG data is lost.

It came in nicely after my forum entry june 9th above.

Any idea how to get it back please?

I scanned yesterday the 28.2 E so I ha a look and indeed the service ref is now:

1:0:1:C508:837:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

Changed it in the channels file. It will be included in the next update.
