Basic, which are the channels of DVB-T (and sat) which everybody can receive.

The Sky channels, and the channels for which you need a special subscription - mainly Sports and Movies.

Willy

Willy, What would be the reasons for split the database in three files? Fox example In Italy they all serve. I don't understand this choice.

On some box, we italian users, have to add three different URL to have EPG. I think that for "italian users", you have to return to the unique package.

There is not only Italy in the world.

f.i. quite a few users outside of Italy have a Tivusat card. The can only see the basic channels. So they only need to download the basic EPG.

Also in Italy not everyone has a subscription to the Premium and Sky Movies/Sports packages.

There is not need to download these if you do not have these.

If you have to download all 3 there is also no problem. The importer does it without a problem.

Oh, yes. Kodi. Sorry, if you can use it OK. But I will not tailor it to the needs of Kodi users. Period.

Hi doglover!

Could you add this channel?

1:0:1:1E:200:1D:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:1E:200:1D:D930000:0:0:0:

EPG can be grabbed for 2 days from "staseraintv.com" (site_id="pop" for WebGrab+).

http://www.staseraintv.com/programmi_stasera_pop.html

At "programmi-tv.eu" (site_id="pop") the EPG is more complete and for 7 days, but the grabber seems not to be working.

http://www.programmi-tv.eu/guidatv/pop/

Thanks for your attention.

No they are not:

In the XMLTV file is given:

<programme start="20171022115300 +0000" stop="20171022133100 +0000" channel="PremiumCinemaEnergy.it">

Rambo

    <sub-title lang="it">[avventura]  (1982)</sub-title>
    <desc lang="it">
.......
</desc>
  </programme>

This is given in time zone 00. It is the same as: <programme start="20171022135300 +0200"

On the website, you can see for this show:

13:53 - 15:31
Rambo

So the schedule is correct. (Enigma2 understand this way of passing on EPG)

You are either looking at the XMLTV file with an editor. In this case realize that some channels are always grabbed in GMT timezone.

Or you are using the data on a system which does not understand timezones. In this case - this is your problem.

BTW: the grabbed schedule looks like this on the website:

"id":141,"title":"RAMBO","parentalControl":1,"timeStart":1508673180,"timeEnd":1508679060,"linkDetail":"http://www.mediasetpremium.it/guidatv/cinema/rambo_F000601501000104.html"

The times given here are in unix timecode, which are always GMT.

1508673180 converts to:

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 11:53:00 GMT

In order to convert it to timezone +2 (Italy DST) I have to do extra conversions. And take into account DST changes.

The operations tend to be very complex.

The XMLTV files are not meant to be used on these devices.

If you can use them, fine. But it seems these devices are not properly programmed to recognize the timezone and take this into account when reading EPG.

Let's give me an example. You are in the UK. The timezone is now there UTC+1, So when you read the XMLTV files, do you want me that I provide everything in UTC+1?

But the same EPG is being used by somebody in Greece (UTC+3). For this person the EPG needs to be in UTC+3. Impossible to provide.

There is a system for this. Called the timezone. It is the +0200 or +0000 in the timings in the XMLTV file.

The user should use these values correctly.

You are addressing your complaint at the wrong place. Complain about this to the provider of the software you are using.

Willy

Tip: If you are using playlists, take a look here: http://kodi.wiki/vie...V_Simple_Client

tvg-shift is value in hours to shift EPG time. This tag can be used in #EXTM3U for apply shift to all channels or in #EXTINF for apply shift only to current channel.

Use tvg-shift in the #EXTINF entry for the channels involved.

Find this: #EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="(.+)" tvg-name="(.+)" tvg-logo="(.+)" group-title="(.+)",(.+)

Replace it with this: #EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="\1" tvg-name="\2" tvg-shift="+1" tvg-logo="\3" group-title="\4",\5

Willy,
these android devices have become a problem

This is a problem for EPG servers that generate huge data
blocking them for use on our boxes.

We block them on our EPG mirror too.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

thanks to Willy. anyway I found around homemade epg links. I can add them from the settings. and they work well. only that I would prefer to use official epgs. I just wondered why with the old Rytec they worked very well. thanks again and good day.

hello @doglover a new channel Spike (property of Viacom) has been launched this week on italy DTT: is it possible to add it to (Base) epg channel?

But i don't want you to lose time by writing new grabbers: as it is "new" maybe EPG sources (don't know from where you are grabbing data) are not ready (i.e. http://guidatv.sky.i...ke_370966.shtml the channel has been added but still without data)

So if this is the case, i can ping you on next weeks when more epg sources will be available.

By the end of next mount it should be added also to "Tivusat".

Ref:

1:0:1:32:200:1D:EEEE0000:0:0:0:

Thanks in advance as always and keep the good work

No schedule yet on sky.

And I cannot find anything on another webpage.

I will add the channel in the channels list. But a schedule will be for later when we can find a schedule on a webpage.
