The information 


he can use the build-system from oe-a branch 3.1. 

is not enough.

 

I need short how to because I never build E2 image.

OpenPli is not the same as the PB that's right?
Anyway OpenPli cannot be builded due to problem with offline server:

I never build E2 image.

I wanted to say that i never build PB E2 image.

 

At all this is a bizarre situation.
On one hand you request from me to learn how to build PB E2 image, waste time to download sources, build etc. but in other hand the PB developers provides unstable player and do not intend to do anything about it.
Excuse Me If you want to build ffmpeg by me for this soft they should provide toolchain.
I have no private interest to support the PB image.

As Terra said, the good will is there. And you may profit from it, too. Learning is what this is all about, isn't it? You will get the support. Mutuality, this is what the hobby thrives on! :)

 

OpenPLi and PB are different, for sure. OE-A is the general GIT but there are contributions from various sides. Those sides, then, each build their own image, with their own structure, tools etc.

 

Gives one room for creativity and yet mutual support is there. Like marriage, at its best.... :)

 

P.S. It's not bad, the player. More like what you said: too big for the memory of that machine. Plus maybe the patches for SH4 are not exactly 'mature' yet... Don't know. Remains to be seen. But what I saw was that your plugin works in AR-P, with ffmpeg, fairly stable... So, I believe many would be very glad to see such an improvement in OE-A GIT! Think about it....

I want to help but I do not have time to do everything.
I have job, family and other private projects.
 
So, just to be clear.
If they give toolchain I can build exteplayer3 and ffmpeg for the PB image.
They can also build ffmpeg by themselves. This is very easy. I already I gave configure.

Sam, it will not be that long to learn how to do it, not for a talented coder like you - believe in yourself... :)

 

For me it's close to impossible, as I am not from technical sciences but... :D

It doesn't matter how much time it would take to learn how.
I have other activities.
 
PB developers probably already have builded toolchain, so they can pack it and that's all.
It's look like they have no good will, so, please stop this discussion because is simply no sense.

I compile ffmpeg libs based on OpenATV 5 for SH4 most probably this is most close image to your PB, so try to install in following way:

cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl/openatv5_sh4_ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.gz
tar -C / -xvf ffmpeg_2.6.2.tar.gz
 
sync
reboot
IPTVPlayer after reset should be able to detect ffmpeg and instal external exteplayer3.
If not, please check what is returned by cmd:
 
ffmpeg --version

and pass output here.

I will try my best but tomorrow we are travelling and I am not sure if I will find the time to reinstall Alien2 and all... Given that this is my passion, I will certainly try!!! But the family needs to be taken care of, all the packing, planning.... We'll see...

But, this is still not build with toolchain used for your PB image. But, for OpenATV 5.0, because PB developers do not provide the toolchain or howto build it.

So, some libraries maybe in wrong version.

 

But you'll still sing songs of praise in honor of PB developers.
And protect against any criticism.
Am I right?
 
Are they any sacred cows?
