Look, every forum I have been to has a very simple way of changing a language. Usually it is at the bottom of the page or in one's preferences/settings/options. Even I know that, and I am from Humanities, not a talented coder like you are - so, really... I don't get you... Would you kindly lighten up and stop complaining constantly... It's getting really tiresome, you acting like a primadonna all the time - we all have to thread on eggs because you are soooo touchy... FFS, m8! I am trying to do whatever I can. My powers are limited. But I am doing everything I can to make it better!
Moreover, it is not realistic to expect, at this time of year, instant responses to everything one requires. Holidays. Really, take it easy....
On top of it all, every effort you make IS APPRECIATED and obviously/explicitly so!!! What more can I do?!? Please, tell me. Just stop complaining like an old granny - all the time...
Really, it is unbecoming of an adult, talented coder, who should be a little bit more relaxed, more self-confident, I would have hoped and not so.... tense.... Chillax, FFS, it is a hobby and it should be an enjoyable one, at that... Not a constant battlefield, for every little thing...
Again, I thank you, on behalf of the whole community of STi 7111/7162 STB owners, if we get this thing done, i.e. improved. I believe you are right in pointing out to ffmpeg and less memory intensive way of doing many things in the image. On the other hand, I believe I am right in trying to move on the game to a better, more sophisticated GIT we have nowadays... The new images (OpenATV, PBINGMA etc.) are way better than the old AR-P. The OE-A GIT is way better than TDT one.
So, the key ingredient, to my mind, is mutual support, pooling all the info we have and doing the best we can...
Then we see, we compare notes and hopefully we would have done something good by the end of the process...
What do you say: shall we stop complaining and get on with the task at hand, please?
Respectfully...

OKI, the latest nightly OpenATV is in ALien2 and then, in telnet:
cd /tmp wget http://iptvplayer.pl/openatv5_sh4_ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.gz
Server down?

Oh, I saw your response now.
Forget this! Everything has its limits and I have just reached mine!!!
As for publicising PMs - I have nothing against it, provided you do not de-contextualise them, i.e. include yours first and then my responses. Everyone will have more than enough info to see just how heavy a person you are...
I tried, not once. But this is really it. I have had it with you! I was courteous, polite, trying to accommodate you as much as humanly possible, I did everything in my power to help the community, if I possibly could. Alas, it wasn't to be...
I have dealt with some of the greatest coders we have had in this community and none of them were as "thin-nerved" and as big-egoed as you. Really, honestly, primadonnas like you are really rare! Thankfully! Top Secret was a gentleman, so was Ethereal, BB, Graugans and many others. You, on the other hand... Really immature!!!
I wrote about your plugin in a positive manner: check out SatUniverse, Satforum.me, Ferrari forum, PowerBoard, OpenATV forum etc. etc etc. Fair - in spite of you being the way you are!!!
But it is never enough for you...
Over and out!

Christ:
cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl/openatv5_sh4_ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.gz
tar -C / -xvf ffmpeg_2.6.2.tar.gz
Are you sure about this?
2.7.1 first, then 2.6.2?
Either way, this isn't working:

After I succeeded finding the right command above:
Telnet:
sync reboot
Install IPTV Player v. 67.02.02.01 from feeds > see screenshots attached. I didn't get the details of the host "being broken", sadly...
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 1.jpg 15.66KB 10 downloads
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 2.jpg 10.57KB 9 downloads
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 3.jpg 11.38KB 9 downloads
IPTV Player > Update > 70.00.08.01 > Restart GUI.
Then, it had to additionally install External Player 3 (WELL DONE, YOU DID IT!!!) - see the screenshot...
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 4.jpg 11.75KB 9 downloads
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 5.jpg 25.9KB 8 downloads
Then, I had to setup the HDD and USB stick. Weirdly, HDD was mounted as usb, so I had to undo that, do it as /media/sda1 and USB stick as media/usb (i.e. sdb1) and direct various IPTV Player functions accordingly...
After that, I configured IPTV Player, what goes where (buffering, recording etc.), in relation to the HW and how it was setup...
Now, configuring IPTV Player > External movie player config >
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 6.jpg 30.35KB 8 downloads
Here everything froze, thanx to imperfect Device Manager and mounting that isn't 100% as it should be in OpenATV... Which I prefer PBNIGMA, among other things...
What is "First move player" and "Second move player" all about, please? This is in IPTV Player config... I suppose it has to do with "More" > Set Active Player > auto or manually...? I choose manually External Player 3 without buffering.
Then, to the point: streaming using External Player 3 without buffering > FilmOn > UK Live TV > BBC 1 etc. > low (LAN connection, 30MB fibre optics) > no image, sadly, only sound,
BBC2 > low > works!
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 7.jpg 71.11KB 8 downloads
Back to BBC 1 > high > works!!!
IPTV Player OpenATV with ffmpeg setup 8.jpg 59.82KB 8 downloads
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
On QUICK inspection, it seems to me YOU DID IT!
Well bloody done.
Now, I have a lot of packing to do, the family travels tomorrow... Byeeee....

I'm glad it's working. But it was the question of rebuilding ffmpeg libs olny. Which could be done in five minutes by PB developers, so we can not speak about any success.
The success will be when exteplayer3 start to work on MIPSEL platforms.
Unfortunately I do not have STB with this CPU.

SSS

@samsamsam, @gorski
If you have problems discuss it by PM, not by our forum !
As you can see we are discuss about gstreamer and other solution based on ffmpeg.

Try buffering mode with external extepalyer3 it works much better than with gstreamer 1.X.
With gstreamer 1.X user tell me that only content buffered before player start is played... So, the progress downloading where downloading is made not by gstreamer but by other tools not works. When the file wich is still downloaded is played with gstreamer 1.X it is does not include new data which were downloaded after start of player.
And this is a probably the reason why player based on gstreamer 1.X always returns to buffering.

"Bad" is your constant need for posturing, trying to demean others in order to make yourself a wee bit bigger, somehow. That is so immature and sad.
I have been nothing but courteous and very careful, whereas you kept spitting in all directions - "No one but me!!!" you kept saying.
After a while it gets really much, hence I finally responded and I was still careful and tactful...
AT some point, after ever more bluster from you, attacking everyone in sight - you got it!
And you didn't like the taste of your own medicine at all. Makes one think.
This is enough for me. Thanx again and bye, I must work now...
Seriously, grow up and fast!
No. No. No.
You do not understand. Exteplayer3 is based on the libeplayer3 lib and I am not autor of this lib.
I only write simple wrapper for this lib and add several minor bug fixes and functionality like hande changing User-Agent etc.
So, I glory libeplayer authors! And I wonder why others like OpenPli developers goes the easy way and use gstreamer instead of dealing with development solution based on ffmpeg.
