Evere one who develop E2 on SH4 should well known libeplayer3. The source code for example can be found here:

That's why I'm surprised that you did not know about this. This is very old solution. But there is very easy to replace old ffmpeg libs with new one.

Not like the problems with switching E2 to gstreamer 1.X from 0.X...

YES. You are right it is ffmpeg.

BCM7413B1 (405Mhz)....For OpenPli blue button for this player-subtitle...for OpenAtv and Eurosat 1.4 blue button force 2x,4x speed streamnig..

For now it is not possible bacause OpenATV use gstreamer version 1.X which is not supported by external gstplayer.

 

Apart from the fact that I think that gstreamer 1.X as media player for the STB is not good idea. I am working to add support of gstreamer 1.X for external gstplayer.

I need a little more time. Please be patient.

 

 

OpenPLI is still using gstreamer 0.10, so the external gstplayer is your main player in IPTVPlayer.

 

Subtitles functionality works only with external players.
