Hello all, I tried installing this on DM500HD and when I run the plugin I get asked to download additional binaries and after I press ok I keep getting the error "Fatal Error! Plugin is not supported with your platform"

Does it not work on DM500HD please?

How did you install the plugin? Because this looks like wrong installation.

Hi, I downloaded the archive.zip, extracted contents and copied the IPTV folder to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions and from a terminal window I ran opkg update and then opkg install python-html. They both run successfully.

Then I restarted the receiver and the plugin was there with the other plugins. It loads and asks to download additional binaries then fails with the error message.

I use openpli nighlties, the one I have installed is just a week old.

Thanks for your help.

Please do not use standard player, standard and internal players based on E2 and I can not fix E2 player.

Please use external gstplayer (or external eplayer3 if you have box with SH4 CPU) in buffering mode.

You can change player under blue button.

Use gstplayer in buffering mode then you will see buffering spinner. Streams work but need some time for buffering.

Google DNS will not change nothing. Do you know what is DNS at all?

Actually, I wrote earlier that SmartDNS works for many countries and so - no, I don't have a clue, even though I made mine work fine for me... duh!

When you write abount SmartDNS this is not only DNS! Server DNS is only used to translate host name for example google.pl to it IP address  for example 216.58.209.35 and nothing more.

SmartDNS is not only DNS server this is rather a combination DNS server and dedicated solution to bypass geolocation security but only those services which are support by SmartDNS.

You can check list of supported services by SmartDNS servers here:

https://www.hideipvpn.com/smart-dns/ in the section Unblocked websites.

I can not see there http://pl.wwe.com/

How works SmartDNS? When you ask Smart DNS to resolve address of the service from supported list, their not return real IP address of the web page but IP from dedicated proxy server, if needed.

But once again this will not work for all sites but only for those supported by them!

Hello,

Player exteplayer3 based on ffmpeg 2.8 for MIPSEL platforms.
At now only h264 and AAC codecs are working.

The player and ffmpeg libs are compiled with toolset prepared with OpenATV build system for STB et4x00.

The binaries can be downloaded from here:

Size after unpack: 14MB!!!

To install from cmd line:
cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl/temp/exteplayer_ffmpeg_et4x00.tar.gz
tar -xzf exteplayer_ffmpeg_et4x00.tar.gz -C /
rm exteplayer_ffmpeg_et4x00.tar.gz

Example links for tests:
http://37.187.250.35/filmy_pliki/goltv_C/1280_194_257628228.mp4
http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/videos/big_buck_bunny.mp4
http://195.245.213.230/live/rzeszow.isml/rzeszow-audio%3D96000-video%3D120000.m3u8
http://195.245.213.230/live/rzeszow.isml/rzeszow-audio%3D96000-video%3D3500000.m3u8

Testy should be performed from commandline.
Before start test please change channel to such which does not have signal to make free audio and video decoders.

Start testing:
exteplayer3 "http://...."
or local file:
exteplayer3 /mnt/hdd/movie.mp4

For example:
exteplayer "http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/videos/big_buck_bunny.mp4"

There are some commands available after player start:
l
duration in seconds
j
position in sedonds
gfXX
free jump to position XX in seconds
p
pause
c
resume
q
stop
Ctrc + C
force close

Please give feedback as I was able to test only on XPEED LX1 STB.

Regards,
SSS
