User with  VU+ DUO2 and OpenATV 5.0 also report problem (no sound).

The only STB with BCM chip which I have is XPEED LX1 and sound works OK.

This is a very early phase of this player, still a lot of work needs to be done.

I will add support for other codecs and then we can check if problem is related with sound at all or maybe only w codes AAC.

Please be patient version with additional codecs supports will be prepared this weekend

For user with BRCM PLATFORMS ONLY.

In version "80.00.13.00" you can start to use exteplayer3 v5 (older version than the one on SH4) based on ffmpeg.

At now support MP3, AAC and H264 codecs.

cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl/resources/ffmpeg2.8.1_mipsel_nofpu.tar.gz
tar -xzf ffmpeg2.8.1_mipsel_nofpu.tar.gz -C /
rm ffmpeg2.8.1_mipsel_nofpu.tar.gz

Size: ~17MB!

Red Eagle TwinBox LCD + PBNIGMA 5.1 + IPTV Player is on automatic.

HasBahCa > iptv Oct. 16 > EX-YU > 'Forbidden; code 15' for everything, plus occasionally something like 'internal data flow; error code 1'... and 'Stream contains not enough data; code 4'...

FilmOn m3u: Could not open resource for reading; code 5 - the same happens if I choose External gst Player with or without buffering...

FilmOn > Music Legends: buffering starts and then > Nastapil blad pobierania... [true] - with buffering. Without buffering 'Could not open resource for reading; code 5'...

In English list > ABCnews is running! News Bronx etc. also...

FilmOn TV > UK Live > BBC 1, 2, ITV, Ch4 > low > running smoothly...

When it comes to MEDIA playback on my home network: DVD LPCM decoder message appears when I try to play a DVD "Allman Bros Band = no sound... But the same message comes on when I play Average White Band DVD and I get the audio just fine...

Heavy bit-rate mkvs (1080p + DTS) losing sound - but I am using a WLAN stick which is not necessarily that great.... Btw, at some point they stop.

These do play on Ferrari500HD + LAN connection, using IPTV Player!

Mjnd, this is a fairly new box and it may suffer from immature drivers and kernel....

You might be able to reduce size if you make use of UPX, it is available for mips(el). http://upx.sourceforge.net

The main part of this size is shared libraries, maybe I am wrong but upx support only ELF.

@samsamsam if you are worried about size, then I think you should pay attention to ffmpeg configure options. You need to disable unnecessary components. For example, for me on sh4 with the following configure: https://bitbucket.or...arget-ffmpeg.mk libavcodec size is 4,6MB.
Besides, I think that I am not remove all unnecessary.

Yes I know, but for the moment I do not have time to do so.

I'm not worried but I write, so users were not surprised ;)

There is still a lot of work to make extplayer3, so good as it is on SH4 platform.

Unfortunately, I do not have STB based on BRC chip with FPU, so the software decoding of the audio can not be tested...

Regards,

SSS

Hello everyone,

First of all i want thank you all for the great work you've done and for the many efforts and the unconditionally support to this amazing plugin(which i consider the best one on Enigma 2 platforms).

I've never met a any problem with it since i'm using the polonian image (pkt v4.5)

but on the contrary with the latest HDMU images(it begins from this Version HDMU_14096_E2_1008gse+_217_git_3912 )i had a serious problem with the gstreamer and ext3player,

i just can't read anything with them(no iptv,no movies,no YouTube .... nothing  :( )

and the same problem goes on with the latest openatv 5.1

and I've had this errors between the buffering and no buffering using the two players(gstreamer and ext3player)

for the record: when i installed the plugin for the first time in this images, i didn't get this note to install gstreamer

i have Forever 7878(series 1008g+se+ from sh4 platform)

Many thanks in advance guys

Unfortunately external gstplayer based on SH4 for gstreamer 1.X is not available.

Hoever you can still use exteplayer3 but you need to install ffmpeg libs.

cd /tmp
wget http://iptvplayer.pl/openatv5_sh4_ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.gz
tar -C / -xvf ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.gz
rm ffmpeg_2.7.1.tar.g
sync
reboot

After reboot plugin should ask you to install exteplayer3.

Let me know if it works  :)

Regards,
