For users which tests extepalyer3 for MIPSEL platform.
In version "82.01.01.00" plugin will ask to install exteplayer3 in version 9 for MIPSEL platform.
In version 9 of the exteplayer3:
- added support for codec MP3, AC3, MPEG2
- fix problem with black screen at start

Red Eagle TwinBox LCD with PBNIGMA 5.1
After the reboot IPTV Player is asking to install exteplayer3, as intended.
After that the update goes to fetch 82.01.01.00. Reboot.

Older version, it seems. The results are the same, though. Actually, now Gstreamer 1.6.0 is better, with built-in Media Player 2... At least avi's, mp4's and flv's play...
See the attached IPTV Player debug file... Hope it helps...

I do not have "Red Eagle TwinBox LCD with PBNIGMA 5.1", so I can not help you.
But I don't understand you write about "Gstreamer 1.6.0 is better, with built-in Media Player 2" but when you use external gstplayer also "Gstreamer 1.6.0 is used".
You write a lot but often not the point. Installing older version does not have any sens, because exteplayer3 is compiled with new one and olny new one can be used.
You can read about shared library in linux...

Thanx for your efforts writing this plugin!!! I still think your effort is very cool! But I have to give you the honest feedback on your post now...

Well, I went out of my way to help with screenshots, telnet logs, debug logs and detailed description. And it still wasn't good enough for you... Sometimes I despair...
If you are having issues with reading, I am sorry but it has nothing to do with me... Indeed, I think you have to learn to read a bit better, slower, with a bit more attention. It would also help if you could set your prejudices aside before you start reading, I think...
Now, I know you only have one STB with Mipsel platform. But the point of this thread, I thought, was to test it on other STBs with Mipsel. Or did I get it wrong? If I understood correctly, then what I did was right! I tested and gave proper, correct, detailed account/feedback.
Here, I'll break it down for you, once again:
First, I said I tested the newest version of ffmpeg, which didn't work with whatever I tested. At all. Only FilmOn worked with streaming, from what I tried.
Then, I tried installing the one that was in E2 feeds. The same result.
After that, I tested the same files (we are talking playback now) with built-in MP2 (gstreamer 1.6.0) and I said exactly which files played. So, some files played with gstreamer, whereas none played with ffmpeg/IPTV Player, with or without buffering. Hence, gstreamer was better in my test. What is so difficult to understand here?
Moreover, if you can't/won't read properly, I thought you can read the debug files...
==================================================================
As far as your second post is concerned: I didn't have this information. Now I do and so now I would search only for the ones that are supported.
But if I may suggest: if you clearly and fully write about what is supported (what to test only), when you issue the next release, you will have less to read, I guess...
So, be more precise and give us the full info next time, please. It would be better for both sides - you and the testers.
I hope it's clearer now...

Dear friend,
I think you have problem with reading because I wrote which codecs are supported for now.
In first version of exteplayer3 for MIPSEL I wrote about AAC, H264 and now I wrote what were added.
And ONCE AGAIN you still can use external gstplayer, so I really not understand why you writing about MP2?

Perhaps if you read slowly you may understand - I tested MP2 after IPTV Player, just to see... (Ochhh...)
And you didn't write precisely (announcing the new version) and fully that ONLY such and such codecs are supported in the new version...
In version 9 of the exteplayer3:
- added support for codec MP3, AC3, MPEG2
Perhaps if you learn how to write properly, giving the full info to testers, who do not have to be IT guys?
Never mind...

I can not use your heuristics because it will work only for greek language. For now I can add the choose list and user will must choose correct encoding.
That will be enough ! thanks for your time and attention !
btw:cp1251 is cyrillic fonts !
In version "82.02.00.00" the new functionality of auto detection subtitles encoding using uchardet utility has been added.
You must agree when plugin ask to install uchardet if you whant to use it,
