Which movie player are you using?

Ok, we are not on the same page here. Problem is not with sub providers. You say that Subscene does not work. I just checked search for "shrek", english subtitles and list of subtitles were found I choose one and it normally works.
Not true. IceFilms works but not all providers - Subscene does work...
So, what is not working for you?

Here is video screenshot. You can see subtitle is selected, I tried to use button 6 to skip forward, it does not work, audio channel selection does not work,
That video and subtitle combination worked OK last week before Openvix updated to 5.0.1

SSS, I say it DOES work. I also couldn't get first 2 services to work but I could get Subscene to work and show the subtitles.
Marax says IPTV Player with OpenViX doesn't show subtitles. I am using PBNIGMA 6.0 in my GB X1 and Alien2.
======================================================================================
Logs for installation on my friend's GB X1 were fine: everything checked out first (Mipsel platform, OpenSSL 1.0.2.j, I think, HARD float) and when I installed it - everything was fine.
But after a reboot, ffmpeg is not there, sadly. (You remember, I did install your latest SH4 ffmpeg before you posted a new procedure and it was all successful... So, I generally understand the principle, if that is what you are worried about.)
May I also suggest to enlarge the first column on your services (see the photo attached, please), so we can read the full name (or at least a larger first part of the name) of various ffmpeg packages, so we don't need to open all of them to see which one is for us.
Maybe you could divide them into subsections for us, please?
Thanx a bunch once again for your sterling work!

Without logs I can not help you. You say it does not work. But what it mean?
What is returned by:
ffmpeg --version
after installation?
You say after install it was ok but after reboot ffmpeg has gone. So, you suggest that something removed ffmpeg after reboot?
Really?
If you not want to provide logs please STOP spam.
EDIT:

Your information looks like that:
"Something does not work". "How to make it to works?"
Do not you think, that there is need more details? Really?
For example:
I also couldn't get first 2 services to work
What services? Subtitles for what title do you search? Why you not provide debug logs /hdd/iptv.dbg?
This is very annoying.
The same with ffmpeg installation. I asked three times about logs.
If you not want to provide logs please stop SPAM.
Because without details your posts are nothing more then SPAM.
It is not possible to diagnose the problem without details information.

Oh, for crying out loud, SSS.... I know how to do it but the older version of the file was obviously removed and the new one was put in its place (the date was recent). On my X1 all is OK. But since the new file was put there I could not make it work in my friend's GB X1. I have not copied all of the output because it seemed to me that it was installing well, as I expected. But when I rebooted - ffmpeg was not there. Give me a break, will you. I have just checked the names again: last night, when I was doing it with my friend remotely, the name of the file was not "hard", as I quoted up there. It is now, so we will try it again later tonight, probably. Hopefully, everything will work as well as it is in my GB X1. Only this time I will get all the output like I did when I installed it in SH4/Alien2, just in case - I will not presume all is well, as it seems so while installing it.
And if you are quoting me, quote me properly. Seriously! On top of that, even when you do quote me you completely miss what I said: if I say something DOES work and you then quote me and say I said that it does NOT work - I despair sometimes... Get your thinking hat on and slow down a little - think before you act, thanx. I am trying to be as fair as I can possibly be, so maybe you could reciprocate, at least in principle...
Besides, I said which OpenSSL, that it is HARD float, the platform is Mipsel and that it all went well (despite not finding ffmpeg version with "hard" in the name, as per your instructions), it was installed etc. Obviously, I was doing it as per your instructions, can't you see that? I followed them to the letter.
Moreover, I am on your side, after all. Just read above: Frank was cursing at you, stating nonsense, I defended you and showed that I freshly installed it all on SH4 properly and it all worked fine, you have the whole output/installation there, to show how it is done and so on. What the devil...???
As far as the subtitle services are concerned: Marax said none of the subtitles services worked for him but I said:
1) (for the same film, obviously) the first two did not work for me but the third one on the list worked (Avatar was the first on the list, I think)
2) Marax said NONE of them work and I said this was not true, since I got one to work and display subtitles on my E2.
Now, please, stop being unfair. Don't let the worse side of you take over. This is all too easy. Anyone can do that. Play offended, misquote, badly misinterpret, be a primadonna and so on. But it is not the right thing to do! Slow down, read carefully and do not twist my words into their opposite, thanx... I do not do that to anyone!
Regarding my suggestion to enlarge the first column on your server: thank you for the pointer, I have not noticed the full name was displayed at the bottom, so that works, cheers.

How can I provide logs, when my friend is now working, for crying out loud?!? He is not at home and the receiver is switched off. Can you not stop yourself just once and think (of other possibilities than the first one that comes to your mind) before you lash out?!?
Reboot is in all the previous instructions given by you, so...??? OKI, "restart" as opposed to "Restart Enigma" - what's the difference?
Who said I had a working ffmpeg before I restarted? I said the installation went well, nothing out of the ordinary.
But after the reboot - ffmpeg was not there and once IPTV Player was installed it did not install extplayer3.
I hope it is clearer now.

Well,
Last step of installation it is check if ffmpeg works or not by execution command:
ffmpeg -version
Did you read this:
After installation you should check if ffmpeg is working correctly:ffmpeg -versionSample output:

reboot
is nothing bad,
Worse it is:
reboot -f
So, before reboot you should call:
sync
To make sure that data from buffers/cache have been properly written. And that should be enough.

Yes, I did that, as I said, following your previous instructions, so always first sync, then reboot.

SSS, what to do with OpenSSL 1.0.1j - any idea, please? Which of your ffmpeg packages should work with that, if any?
It's for DM800HD PVR, mipsel, with Soft Float, _old_, in modified OpenPLi image by MastaG.
Thanx!
